Honestly, I think you are underselling her. :-) She is 23 and she has about 2 decades in the wider entertainment industry (she started modeling at age 3 and almost had a decade of experience before SG/Babymetal and Babymetal turned 10 last year).

I really love to play the role of Shioji of 'Adventurers'. I'm very happy to play the role again!! Shioji loves to sing and her singing make fellow members united into one, give them power to defeat enemies. It's awesome!! By singing, someone can encourage others, heal the wounded minds. It's my goal to be a singer like that. I want to improve myself, to become more Shioji-like person by playing this musical!! Ｓｕｚｕｋａ

Su's talent and abilities were recognized early. Would love to talk with her teachers/instructors from early to learn what they thought. I bet none would say they thought she be the Queen of Metal and internationally popular and famous with sold-out concerts worldwide. Watching Japanese TV shows on Babymetal there is a lot of respect and amazement of them and their talent and fame. You can see it in the reaction of the other entertainers when Su, Moa and Yui are introduced and they enter.

haha, probably not. Considering by age 10 it looked like she might be drifting more towards the ota-idolpop scene (performing as Karen Girls, and doing the Lion cover from Macross Frontier) they probably thought she might find stardom in that arena as many do....but becoming a metal frontrunner probably shocked all of them.

About her selection of songs for her solos, she said in an interview that she really liked to sing balads when she was a kid, so probably that's why most of her solos are that. She also said that initially she didnt liked much to dance, but in time she learned to like it and to practice to get beter (she didn't liked to practice much either lol)

At 22:42, another great example of Su's voice. She was obviously working a bit to deliver this one. But her tendency to go pitchy on the high notes is nearly gone as her voice and technique seriously starts to mature. One can hear that progression year on year. Just fascinating. My music teacher mother would have appreciated how Su always holds a note to its precise and proper length. One can always tell when Su is lipsyncing because she totally loses her mic discipline and will lower the mic before the note is done. Watch Megitsune MV for examples.

🌻 ⚡ I left a bit more detail in a comment on the previous video, but here are some of Su's Actors School Hiroshima landmarks. Su was admitted to ASH in 2006 at the age of 8. Su was 9 years old in 2007 when she passed the ASH group audition as 'Tween' with her sister Himeka. She passed as a solo vocalist at the same Spring Act 2007 audition. You figured out that 'Shine We Are!' is a song, not an ASH group. That put various ensemble groups together for different songs. That girl on Su's left for the beginning of this song (one of the few with a microphone) is Riho Sayashi (Morning Musume/BABYMETAL avenger). Su was in the musical 'Boukensha-tachi' in the role of Shioji in March 2009, shortly before Karen Girl's ended. She also starred in the revival, 'Boukensha-tachi Saien' in 2010, shortly after Sakura Gakuin started. Su was regularly commuting from Hiroshima to Tokyo for Sakura Gakuin activities in 2010 and 2011. Her last ASH show was September 2011. Su, her sister Himeka and their Mom moved to the Tokyo area after Himeka became a 1st generation member of the Idol group Nogizaka46 to be closer to the girls work. Su's Dad stayed in Hiroshima to continue running the family construction business.

2 great compilations, the timeline was a little bit mixed but it got most of her ASH songs. I think the slow songs fit her voice very well.

These were great..you can find the play or the vids of the play on youtube. Not for sure if it's the entire thing or just what was shown in this (I havent watched them yet) but they're on here. Wonderful as always watching you 2 get giddy as school kids with the BM related stuff. And hey if we were in school together I'd have hung out with you guys. As for a suggestion or 3...(J music) Try 'World Order' just J-Pop, no metal but the real enjoyment is the synchronized movements and dancing...just great stuff. 'IronBunny' is fun, ( I mean what's not fun about a guitar playing cyborg samurai bunny from the future?) there's a handful of music vids, with a lot of other things on the channel. If you wanna go old school try some 'Loudness' who have been bringing the noise for like 40 years now. OR head into the 80's hairband waters SOOOOO many group/singers to dive into. Perhaps Stan Bush -'You got the touch' (EVERY Transformers fan knows this epic song) Ozzy -Shot in the dark (one of my personal favs) or just for the vocals alone ANYTHING from Heart. Suzuka was a very busy 12-year-old she was just finishing ASH she was starting in Sakura Gakuin and babymetal and doing other side activities in between as well what did you do when you were 12

You’re right she was very busy, but there was more overlap than you are thinking. Her last ASH performance was in September 2011, over a year after she became a 1st generation member of Sakura Gakuin.

Strange thing is always that you can spot her at once in every group only by seeing her shape. Her movements are so unique (as is her voice). She's simply not from this planet! No wonder she got the most famous of all of them. By the way, that Graduation toss MV has a nice scene: Yui AC/DC style ans Moa Jimmy Hendrix Style (just MY guess). Shioji (しおじ、潮路) is a role name of Su-'s same as the original. "Shio (潮)" means "tide", and "Ji (路)" means "road". So Shioji means "a road of tide", very romantic name. Shioji is a younger sister of Tyuta (忠太) in the musical, but in the original, a older sister, and a girlfriend of Ganba, the main character. She likes to sing and is a solid person (mice, rat). However, she is finally attacked by Itachi (weasel) and dies in Gamba's chest. Su- has said she likes the role of Shioji. "Adventurers" are a popular musical performance in Japan, and it seems that they have been repeatedly replayed by the Gekidan Shiki (劇団四季), the famous theater Company in Japan. However, this performance in 2009 & 2010, were not played by the Gekidan Shiki.

Funny thing, Riho one of the Avengers might be in some of this also. They were friendly rivals at this school. Su is a skinny bean pole and Su jokes about her ears sticking out. You should be able to recognize Su's sister by now.

I would love to see that. It's such a wonderful music video. I think the only ones they would know in it right now are Momoko and Kano, and I'm not sure they know them enough to recognize them yet. Unfortunately, it also seems like it may be prone to copyright problems that they would have to do some working around. Amuse seems particularly strict on things that were after 2015.

Would be great if you also check out little Suzuka at age 5, KZfaq video: Suzuka Nakamoto ☆ kids Collection 2003 【BABYMETAL】 And maybe the little home video with her sister, Youtue video: Suzuka Nakamoto bebe - Babymetal LVT: "she is just a beautiful little girl" me: well, she started her modeling career at age 3, so I guess you'd have to look pretty presentable :-) LVT about the play: "I think she is the only lady." me: honestly, she is the youngest and still the best singer I've been able to spot in this play. That's what impressed me. 1:00:49 I see Christmas thumbnail, their are multiple times Suzuka has some Christmas events/performances in those early/ASH days. Little cutie.

Hi Guys, I've been enjoying your reaction videos during lockdown. Especially the Babymetal ones. Do you guys think you could react to "Dark was the night, cold was the ground" by Blind Willie Johnson? It's an old blues song. I'd recommend doing a little research on it first. Thank you
