Wow that oldest one is a holy terror, it beats up on the tiny one then goes after the other one, The tiny baby is afraid to go near the parent or will be attacked, it was attacked at least 3 times they are both scared to death of the oldest, who is one of the meanest I have come across.

Doesn’t the mom or dad care for the other babies? Is just one they raise after they had three babies? Why is there one smallest one? Why didn’t the dad or other one brought fish and not given it to the other siblings? Take one baby at a times!

This really truly is sad 😞 and I would have to say this ain’t this little guys first of not eating the others are way bigger and mom doesn’t obviously know how to portion out the food as any other animal this little guy will die off and go un noticed as if nothing ever happened I would have to say I’ve seen a lot of nests and this one ☝️ is by far the worst there is a chance for someone to step in and get him out of the nest but seems it won’t happen that bigger sibling is a terror if you removed him I think the nest would be fine that bigger one is the problem it seems the dad noticed that the little one didn’t get anything how ever the mother is horrible she does nothing to ensure that they all eat as the bigger one his crop Is so full and still stuffing food down his neck what pig 🐖 almost as if he is intentionally trying to make sure none of them get food

This makes no sense. Lots of birds don’t brood until they lay all the eggs. Of course the little one won’t survive but he started out healthy! They should feel him also.

She looks like she wants to eat the baby alive. Totally vicious! Even #2 is terrified and submissive to her probably not getting enough to eat. This is a bad nest with a sad history and I don't want to watch it to make myself upset

Oh my God these comments... It's clearly a very rainy season which means that the average fishing grounds for eagles are going to be dirtier which makes it harder for the parents to catch enough fish. There is no active choice by the parents to let this happen. Most of their behavior during nesting season is all dictated by hormones. Only so many eagles live long enough to have enough experience in order to try and proactively prevent this kind of thing. Even then when it's hard to fish and the babies are hungry, the older and more likely to survive chicks are better off killing the weaker ones... If they did have some sort of mechanism for always evenly distributing the food then it's almost assured no chick would be strong enough to face the world on its own. And if you study other nests in various seasons you'll see that when the weather cooperates they usually do raise all of their chicks.

Here you see the parent, near the end of this edit, accidently dig a grave for the Little guy (#3). If you look closely you can see him briefly trying to move away then he falls into the hole the parent had just made. As he fell into it the evil Older Sister just plops right on top of him, sealing #3 in the nest. The next morning #3 is dead, looking as if he'd been flattened out by something and laying on his stomach. The day, he gets eaten by his siblings, with, of course, the oldest getting the lions share of her little brother.

Please...tell me why does the eagle even bother to hatch all the eggs. She is simply only feeding the eldest, and ignoring the 2nd and 3rd eaglet. Is this normal, or is this just a bad batch of eagles. If someone could answer this question, I really would appreciate it. Thank you.

Отвечаю: если Вы отследите все видио связанные с орлами не только в этом гнезде, но и в других, то поймете, что не родители плохие, это естественный отбор в природе. Просто здесь не стали вырезать кадры смерти малыша, как это делают в других видео. В природе не так как у людей, это у людей для самых маленьких, слабых и больных улучшенные условия, а в природе если подобный птенец выживет, потомство от него будет плохое или вообще не будет. Чтобы на хорошем генетическом уровне продолжился этот вид орлов здесь происходит естественный отбор на выживаемость. Орлы не откладывают все яйца в один день, промежутки могут быть до нескольких суток. По этому, то яйцо которое снесли первым - первым и вылупится птенец (как правило самка), он получит от родителей первым тепло и пищу и становится доминантным птенцом, то есть старшим, более сильным и крепким. И так заведено во всех гнёздах не только у орлов разных видов, но и у многих других хищных птиц. Как правило родители могут прокормить одного или двух птенцов. На третьего, родившегося последним у них сил не будет. Это большая редкость когда третий птенец выживает, это зависит от многих факторов: от количества добываемой пищи на охотничьей территории этой пары орлов, погодных условий, опытности родителей, наследственности и т.д.
