So underrated. Discovered them on an mp3 blog in the mid 2000s during my teenage years... Really miss this sound and that time.

I had a dream last night about being on the 156th floor of a building. The power was out and I was trying to read the sign on the wall as I looked to the right of the hall I saw a creature like human running towards me like an animal would…. Right before I was devoured I woke up. I typed in 156 and this band showed up. Idk if it was fate or just by chance but I’m sad I haven’t heard them sooner. They need more credit for their work.

I clearly remember watching this video for the first time on MTV Denmark when I was only 12 and rushing out to buy the album the next day. Still my all-time favourite band. Crazy how time flies.

Mew's album Frengers is one of the albums that has weird and great tracks. From ten years ago til now, the concept of Frengers "not quite friends, not quite strangers" were ironic but happening in every point of your life :) salute to that :)

I sat many hours waiting for this song to be played on the TV..

This was one of my favourite songs when I was a teenager. Now, many years later, I suddenly remembered the lyrics out of nowhere and managed to find the song again. Still one of my favourites.

I saw this video once on MYV Europe in 2003 when I was studying abroad in Sweden. I have not seen it again til tonight, though frengers has long followed me and been one of my favorite albums of all time.

The song is so beautiful and the lyrics are so deeply creepy. You have to hand it to Jonas, he can express complex emotions and stories in a second language better than most can in their first or only.

This album is so good. I came across this video on newgrounds back in 03 or 04. Bought the album. One of my all time favs. I live in Canada so the odds are pretty low that I would come across these guys. Glad I did. I think I had to get the record store to order the album for me.

The lyrics are so creepy but at the same time this is one of the most beautiful choruses in the history of music, singing about chasing down an innocent girl never sounded so beautiful.

Hace largos años descubri a Mew por casualidad. Eight flew over... era el tema de fondo de un video random y me fascino tanto que lo busque hasta encontrarlo. I loved this song when I was a kid because it sounded good. Now, 20 years later and having been the victim of stalking, it still sounds good but it's really hard to listen to.

I flew from Los Angeles to see them play in Mexico City. Great concert. Later, walking home I saw a tiny old lady, homeless, under a small canopy. It was cold, rainy, and my pockets were heavy with coins. I took them out and filled her palms with them. I dont know what she exactly shouted at me, repeatedly, through smiles, but it really sounded like uno, cinq, seixe, uno, cinq, seixe! True story.

A tip.... the old versions of the 1st album is so much better. its so much more feeling.I remembered that they had just maked the album when it got taken back and then after a long time came out again. lucky i got the old versions of the songs. i think they went on a new label with the album.

It's strange. I got the european edition of Eggs Are Funny with the DVD ful of music videos, and whatever tape they used as source for 156, while clean, had a bunch of video artifacts (horizontal line appearing and disappearing at the top of the picture). Did they really lose the only pristine PAL master?
