Happy New Years Accordion Fam 🪗New videos coming up soon for the new year 🙌🏼 2023

0:55 The Accordion has 5 Different playing positions which means you can play in 5 Different keys, & as a result you'll have to have many Diatonic Accordions pitched in every key to be able to play in all 12 Keys.

One thing you got wrong was the diatonic part. Diatonic just means that it doesn't use a chromatic scale, instead using a scale based on the key of the instrument (e.g. C/G, D/A, etc.) What you're thinking of is single-action and double-action accordions. Single-action accordions make the same sound with every bellow movement, while double-action accordions make two different sounds based on if the bellows are being pushed or pulled. Otherwise great video :)

This is a Hohner Anecleto Rey Del Norte III Triple Row Diatonic Accordion FBbEb. The III means it has 3 Ranks of Reeds in LMM tuning so there's 5 Register Switches, & w/ the Master Register Switch the additional Low Rank of Reeds mellows out the Accordion's sound to prevent it from sounding too harsh. The Bass Reed Blocks are Optional so that's another thing to keep that in mind:kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i9yXlNuas9ezqWw.html

boton Another neat thing to keep in mind is that you can have optional Bass Reed Blocks if you're doing solo work.
@AngelGarcia-dj4kw Жыл бұрын
this is super helpful! I appreciate it! Do the different playing positions correspond to certain scales? Like is the 1st position the scale of Fa and the 2nd position the scale of Re? Not sure how to explain it but does that make sense?
@boton.official Жыл бұрын
Yes! You are correct 👍🏽 In this video I use an FBbEb tuned accordion so the positions are 1-Fa 2-Bb(Si bemol) 3-Eb(Mi bemol) 4-C 5-Lab(La bemol)-And since each accordion can come in different keys(FBbEb/GFC/EAD etc) each position would correspond to a different scale/key. The movements are the same though. The videos I’m doing now will cover each key along with chords etc) hopefully to make it easier

I wanna be able to play some hits (Ramon ayala, Panter bélico, etc) Good vid btw bro Edit: I really wanna be able to play El 701 by Alegres and Punto y Aparte by Panter

You should get an accordion in GCF (tono de sol) if you want to play as just a small pass time or hobby. The adornos are a little bit more simple and there are more free videos on KZfaq on that kind of accordion

That happens because the air can only go through that 1 hole that gets opened (the 1 button) you’re pushing. To push It in faster push more buttons in or use the side button that opens all the buttons

So like you may know the accordion isn’t really used much for Tumbado but you could definitely play the songs on accordion. Same rules apply! So learning all scales and chords etc. stay tuned I have these being uploaded in a couple of days. Tumbado just changes the song structure, not the way you learn etc

@@boton.official Yes I'm a Pianist so Piano Accordion is actually simpler. The other nice thing is that as a Pianist, I can use the Piano Accordion to play on the go. I read online that the Piano Accordion (e.g. the Hohner Latino III 72 w/ 34 Keys which is a fun one & there's a wide variety of them), was originally made for Pianists so they could get out from hiding behind the Piano & play standing up like their Guitar playing friends.
