Today we have ana absolutely amszing geode opening here from mexico! These are approximately 250 million years old and are mined in an old clay layer several hundred feet down, so these sre more expensive than regular geodes! Can you guess what's inside? the crack was beautiful and perfectly down the middle! Love the vice!

My “other” dad is in his late eighties and he still rockhounds in AZ and NV. He has a yard full of geodes to still explore and absolutely awesome ones in his collection. Diamond cutters and jewelers do awesome work, but there is a natural beauty that they can’t mimic. Fortunately for people, we have both kinds of art available so everyone can enjoy God’s creations in their own way.

i dream of working with gemstones and crystals and geodes when i’m older and im going to 10000000%. i have decent collection right now but i’ve never gone out to find my own but i’m planning on doing so soon, i can’t wait to find my FIRST crystal or gemstone outside. cant wait

Quartz crystals with agate and chalcedony geode from mexico, several hundred feet down in a clay layer! The surrounding rock of the crystals is all hardened clay!
