I’m Mexican and idk if y’all ever ate this but a homemade tortilla with salt in the middle like I grew up eating that as a lil snack while my mom made them or when I went with my mom to La tortilleria and they always gaved me a tortilla with salt🤷🏽♀️ like if y’all know what I’m talking bout or if y’all ever tried a tortilla wit salt ?

I’m Colombian and Mexican Food is hands down the beeeest food ever and you def have to eat it in Mexico the US restaurants don’t even come close to it. My fav pescado sarandiado, molcajete, and carne en su jugo yum!!! 😋

i have searched chicago to find the best sopes. still haven't found anything as good as these sopes i got in california 6 years ago but I'm on the hunt. half the time i order them in chicago i have to clarify ten times that I'm not asking for soup. always end up saying "no i want mesa boats SOPES not SOPA" so thats how u know the restaurants in my area are whack lol i think the shitty ones are still better than most foods tbh

Fun fact: when I first started dating my bf he said he wanted me to cook for him a traditional Mexican dish, I made mole which I love he ate it said it was good, of course I served myself a second round and encouraged him to have another plate which he politely declined... After moving in together I made mole again and his face when he realized what I had cooked he said I hate that it’s gross taste like spicy chocolate lmfao! My face in that moment was like lord! My family is guatemalan, and ive been to Guatemala a couple times & even my family LOVES mexican food way more, more flavors & varieties. i still love guatemalan food but not that many varieties from what i’ve been told from my family & when ive been to Guatemala! still love it though!
