Mexico is rarely giving 180 days to stay in the country these days. My husband and I went to Mexico twice in the last 4 months and did not get a 180 days in either trips.

My husband and I have been in Mexico on a 180 Visitor Visa and we have been able to, (after 2 months of constant persistence to obtain an Appointment at a U.S. Consulate) finally secure an appointment to apply for our Temporary Residency. Thanks guys for a fab episode! Love Mexico 🇲🇽 If you can, try to watch a 3 part documentary done by PBS called "The Wonders of Mexico" it is phenomenal! Cinematography and narration is exquisite. I actually got emotional bc the country is soo beautiful and magical and North American media and politics is derogatory towards such a great nation. Anyway, I am going back in April to house sit for Mexican friends going on vacation. I cannot wait to be back! I love the people of Mexico and hope mass migration from north doesn't disparage locals.

Loved the video. I was born and raised in hot cartel land, never ONCE have I come in front of a Malverde altar. I know those exist, but it's still quite embarassing for us law-abiding mexicans.

So to touch up on the tourist and all that, Many Mexicans have no problem with them but a issue thats going on and only getting worst is the tourist mindset, many that come down sadly do look down on us and feel superior, and many that stay here and plan to live here tend to want us to change for them. I live in a small fishing town in Baja cali sur, and 90% of the drama and problems here is the gringos complaining and demanding things to change to fit their needs. A lot of tourist places you have to remember the prices go up due to tourist and those increased prices hurt the Mexican people and lots tend to leave due to it. Only request i have for you is and i hope you do it is to make sure your subs and message of showing respect for our culture, and to not try and change us. We love our home, we are proud people but we can also be to nice and not say anything about when tourist try to change things.
