Valladolid Mexico has amazing things to do nearby including climbing the Maya Ruins of Ek Balam. After a trip to Ek Balam, swim in cenote "Secreto Maya Cenote" and have it all to yourself! It's a beautiful cenote in Valladolid Mexico with no crowds.
Ek Balam is better than visiting Chitchen Itza (in my opinion) because you can climb to the top and the views are mindblowing! A visit to Ek Balam is one of the best things to do when traveling to Valladolid. The Pueblo Magico town of Valladolid is an underrated town in Yucatan with so much to offer and worth visiting for several days. While many stop in the town for a few hours while coming from Cancun or Tulum to visit Chitchen Itza, this Pueblo Magico town is better enjoyed spending a few nights in town.
