Dustin Heath I don't know what kind of "Chicanos" you've been dealing with but being Mexican, I don't know anyone who hates whites or anyone else, at least in my circle. Likewise, I've read a lot of racist and hateful comments by whites towards Mexicans on KZfaq, but I've never actually met any whites with that attitude face to face. They've always been pleasant to me and we have had them in our family.

Yo eh vivido desde que tengo memoria en EEUU🇺🇲 pero soy originario de Guadalajara y hace 3 años fui a Jalisco a veer a mis abuelos que estaban enfermos pero yo nunca había ido a México entonces por falta de dinero me fui en carro, En pocas palabras en un pueblo cerca de gdlg creo que se llamaba poncitlan, Me asaltaron y me dejaron sin mi teléfono, dinero y sin zapatos, además de que el carro tenía poca gas y se estaba anocheciendo Una señora me vio en una plaza y le conté mi situación, me llevo a su casa, (Una muy humilde) Estaba un tanto asustado pero no tenía opción Me dió de comer caldo de papá de una olla muy pequeña de dónde también les dió a sus tres hijos, Una hora después llegó su sobrino quien me llevo a Guadalajara. En su coche. Y nunca me pidieron nada a cambio, ya después yo volví a darles las gracias con todo el mercado. La verdad me asombra México, y su manera de ayudar a las personas, acá en EEUU la gente no es así, Espero pronto volver a mi México querido 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽

might be wrong, but the mexican/chicano/puerto rican community here in Chicago, USA is helping many. Many of their community organizations are fundraising for both the Hurricane in the Caribbean and the Earthquake in Mexico.
