Meyhem Lauren's Recipe for Shrimp and Grits

Allegedly, it was one of the Brooks Brothers. Learn how to make the perfect grits (love and patience is key). Learn how to mix cheese with seafood (it can be done). Learn how to tan your shrimp.

Bryant Miller heavy whipping cream will kill the texture of grits, regular whole milk is fine and you add it last not boil it. From a southern lifer he is missing a key seasoning.

I disagree. Creamy grits are made with water, butter, and air (and lots of black pepper, but that's not part of the creaminess)

I just sat here and watched all 9 Mayhem Lauren shows, in a row, nonstop. If he had his own cooking show, I guarantee it would be on tv so, yea keep him here so we can enjoy our laughs and company of Mayhem as a little Mayhem community. Like he said "I don't need the recognition, you can keep that. Just wanna enjoy life ya know" But yea, he does need his own segment :D

Here in Denmark we a local dish that also requires constant attention. Rice porridge. It's a Christmas dish usually served with melted butter on it and cinnamon mixed with sugar drizzled on top. The reason you have to watch it that it, like grits, burns to the bottom of the pan really easily.

I’ve had shrimp and grits before and it was delicious. But the other day I had grits and steak with mushroom gravy and a over medium egg all in one for $15.95 for brunch. I thought I was gonna feel I overpaid. It ended up being the best thing I’ve eaten in 2019. Who knew you could do this with grits? Good job bruh! Love the grits analogy. I can only cook 5 minute grits. So I don’t know if these are old fashioned.
