In this video we have a look around my new MF3690, have a look at what needs to be fixed and some of the things we have noticed since getting it, also father phil gives his impression on the tractor.

She was on a square baler and drawing a lot of bales for johnitan and he had a square bale wrapper the gose on the lift arms witch is frearce heavy

Nice one Phil glad your happy with the tractor hope you get to were you want it to be. And get it out there working. You shouldn't need a box office tricks to help you plough. We only had up and down leavers . L.o.l from Andy in UK

David King electriconics might be able to fix the modular unit they are very good at that sort of thing hope that helps if you need it. Great vid can't wait to see it ploughing.

The pull to stop isn’t standard, we had issue with the electrics for the arms on our 3125 in the end couldn’t find problem, put pipes and a joint to the sister rams and put on the spool works a treat 👌

We have a 3080, you have probley tried it but if you flick your lift switch up and down twice it should work

Steering lock ain't the best by the look of it. A boat on wheels lad 🤣 Good tractor by the looks of it mechanically perfect is more important than cosmetics. Fair play Phil and good luck with her

Try to measure voltage on battery when tractor works. Alternator needs to give at least 14.4v to "wake up" EHR. Also bad ground could make EHR not working...

Perkins engines stop on the key those valmet engines all stop by cable only!

No. I have a valmet engine on 3690 and it's stops turning the key.

What do you think of the valmet engine In the 3690 do you think it’s a better engine then the engine in the Massey 3090 and 6180

both engines are good i couldnt say one was better than the other as neither engines ever gave us any trouble

No major problems all little things and for her age not much wrong..can you get front mud guards for her look the part as well as keep her clean

ive a 1390 brown 83 reg still on original klebers tyres as long as the engine running well wouldnt worry about bit rust etc ,,, stopped making good nothing lasts these days ...

great tractor for hauling round bales ,turn er on a plate in small yards, engine rebuilt 5 years ago starts first tip,not a puff smoke out er ,,bought er of boy up north donegal ,he only used for diet feeder in the the yard,,,some boys dont like the brown if ya get a genuine one she last long time ,,keep the oil fresh in er etc,,,

ive set weights on the front frame she go anywhere ,,diff was seized when i bought er , i got it sorted 2 cans wd 40 ,,i used to haul me with the one wheel wonder that is 35 massey no diff on it we had 40 years on the farm,,,

yes great for starlings but ours doesnt have the noise for crows

If you’re stuck for parts there is a good fella up in Yorkshire England, Richard Hoyland, MF spares, I had the draught control/linkage unit go bad in my 6180 and we got a spare off of him. Might be worth checking out. masseyfergusontractorbreakers.co.uk
