This may just be the best MG Exia for some people since it comes with a stand which mitigates the problems some encounter with the ankles

The dash parts act as extra legs already, it's impossible for it to topple. Unless you have it built as the avalanche only.

I would hope that the EX point of Exia would be Action rather than Lighting. It's kind of a shame that you need to buy the Perfect Grade just to get a version of this suit that doesn't either fall apart if you look at it funny or get stuck on its own hip skirts.

For the connection peg: Grab one of the holders you get on the standard Action bases that are meant for legacy models that didn't include a holder. Makes it a lot more stable.

According to official sources, those racks have sliding gimmicks that deliver the blades underneath the arms for easy access.

Building Exia myself, I can really see what you mean with the arms. I've all but given up on it, and the arms are the only things I have left to build, Rest of the kit came together pretty good honestly.

Dashop Corporation in NYC Chinatown often carries these and real P Bandai kits. I got the Turn Red from there. Prices are a little higher than domestic kits but it’s fun stopping in and finding surprising kits you didn’t expect to see in a store

I think that the Ignition Mode is the definitive MG Exia. It comes with everything you need for the Exia. Exia + the repair 1 parts. The Ignition mode is definitely for people who are a fan of anime Exia.

Besides it's out of box issues, it is a great kit! I wish bandai made more expansion style kits like that, as opposed to going P-bandai ALL of the time.

built mine (straight build though).. the only thing i had problems with were the gn cables it felt confusing after you remove them on their runners and also easy to get damage, the backflap of the avalanche armor has loose fitting and also attaching the arms with gn cables so much resistance 😅

@@declan2775 There is still hope since the frame is universal for the 00 gundams: Naddleh is the closest one from a MG Exia, making the exia armor and voila here is the 2.0... just hope bandai can see this opportunity to make it

Yeah you can probably put the armor on the Exia onto the Dynames frame for the legs and you have a perfect kit

I don't want to make your day more annoying than it is, but it is for my thought a lazy 2.0 version of Avalanche Exia. I can see it on the shoulder parts and on the white circle parts of the knees. They're different to the old one and not so stable as back them. On the other side it has instead of rubber parts these nice clear cable parts, I love that things 😍

I've heard that P-Bandai MG Exia repair III will be released this June. It looks like there will be no MG Exia 2.0 anytime soon.

Finally the missing MG Exia I have waited for so long. These cables in the shoulder are so annoying I attached the 2nd hand onto the body before built the the shoulder. I felt terrible when they announced Exia R3 before they give us Exia 2.0. I am going to buy it anyway and hope it will have some update. I am also looking forwards your review on it.

I have this kit and the only problem I really had with it is right at the beginning of the instruction manual. The chest construction section was really vague and confused me... other than that it was straight forward.

Fun fact the new copies of Exia and the delta plus are from what I have heard, are better than the older copies cause the frames have slightly altered plastics

I just finished building my first ever gundam and it was this one, but HG 1/144 scale, and let me tell you... Very pleasurable build, but when assembled I can't even breath around it or it will completely disassemble and somehow mold back into its runners...

I feel it has disappointed me a bit because I need to do a lot of spraying work to cover cutter edges and the articulating joints are weak... I had suspended the build for several months until I bought and built a HIRM. The powered-red requires a little spraying works on the golden part and a marker xgm02 for silver, and it provides me a lot of fun in many maneuvers it can pose. That's what I want, then I realize that the master grade cannot satisfy me anymore after the exia is almost completed. I miss the day that a full-body structure frame for the G Gundam and Strike Gundam in MG Grade... The articulating parts in MG are no longer good enough.

Yep. Any P-Bandai kit with colors is retailed. Everytime I pass by the toy stores in a mall in my country, I find like 2-5 Turn Red Astrays right next to the standard releases.

Just got this kit as a gift from my wife. there are very small tedious parts to build. It does contain all the parts to build the standard Exia and that's what i just finished building. The back armor of the foot keeps falling off though. will need to disassemble some parts to make it into the Dash and Avalanche versions. The LED unit i have for my MG Seven Swords/G and OO Raiser is not compatible with this one. Sad.

I can totally see what you mean about this MG being more of a retro-fit type of kit. 10:29 I agree that we're long overdue for an MG 2.0 of the GN-001 Gundam Exia. If we do get an MG 2.0 version, I suspect 1 possible route Bandai would take for the variants... 1. Trans Am 2. Roll Out 3. 'Expansion Set' w/ parts for Repair 1, Repair 2, Repair 3, and Avalanche Dash parts. All 3 of those being P-Bandai releases provided it happens. 11:00 Cut corners...😐 12:35 Those hands...😐 13:13 Looking at this, I could definitely see Bandai releasing a P-Bandai 'Expansion Set' if we get an MG 2.0. 15:13 I think you have the GN Long Sword and GN Short Sword attached upside down. I think the blue sections are supposed to be facing up. 15:53 The GN-0000+GNR-010 00 Raiser uses the GN Sword II and GN Sword III.
