Took a good test drive of Hector… Didn’t feel so much to complain about.. As per the video… yes it’s not a racer car it’s a premium car to drive in a normal way … This car has a peaceful drive..

Review full bogus... I took MG hector Savvy pro CMT from Nagpur, and drove it to Bangalore on day 1, 1200+ km covered like a charm. These guys are cribbing on lack of power, but trust me there's nothing like it, vehicle is sufficiently powered and the vehicle overtook trucks and every other car without even breaking a sweat. No other car in this segment can beat the comfort. 1200+ Kms, in 16 hours, and no fatigue at all.. The video subject says not fun to drive, which I totally disagree, these so called car experts can atleast leave the judgement to people experiencing it instead. Thumbs down to this review.

I agree.. Next time on highway try it on manual.. Just above 85-90 kmph put the 8th gear and then you see the magic on mileage figures.. 🎉

I own a hector 2023 cvt.. Its super fun to driving its engaging and yes it can give you good fuel economy here is the trick… Out on highway switch it to manual and just above 85kmph you can engage 8th step(gear) the engine will rev around 1.4k rpm which is super silent you hear nothing.. after that just engage Cruise control.. I have screenshots of 14.1 kmpl with that trick.. Enjoy.. 🎉

I’m using petrol manual (sharp pro) and the cabin experience is beyond comparison. The plush interior and comfort is truly amazing. It definitely feels more premium than Seltos.

Diesel Hector is really great for the highway. Only 6 months of owning the car, and have clocked nearly 15k on the Odo. Seats are super supportive and comfy. Diesel Hector also gives a great mileage when cruising at a constant speed, and the necessary oomph at any gear to make an overtake. However, the high torque makes it a bit cumbersome in traffic. The car wants to pull the moment the clutch is lifted. I feel that an automatic Hector is something MG should really make. It will really bring some spice to the market given the size and price of the car.

I have a question. When you floored the pedal, the RPM climbed to 5.1K rpm n stood there till you reached 100 or so. A friend of mine has MG Astor Sharp CVT. I tried the same on it, but instead of staying at 5K rpm like a CVT, it did a gear shift like thing and rpm went to 4.5K or so at around 35kpmh, then again the same at 55ish. I could physical feel when this shift happens. The rpm drops like a normal AT/DCT and then climbs back, then does the same and whenever this happens, you can actually see the shift to 2-3-4 (if you put it on manual mode). What kinda tech cvt is used in Astor???

Kindly advice new hector plus or tata safari dark red edition...? Currently i own i20 asta(o) 2017 manual.. planning new suv Budget 30lac... Automatic only... ventilated seats...adas must...5-7 seater... running more thn 12k-15 k per year...mox driving... city .. highway and rough roads... comfortable and good suspension car...will buy extended warranty but need car which doesn't cause issues after purchasing...time issue.. neither enthusiastic nor sedate driver....plz advice.. XUV 700 rejected bcoz no ventilated seats...
