The strangely complex mechanism for safely jacking up the rear of the car.
Identifying the best places to jack the car and place axle stands.
Removal of and examination of the wheel and tyre.
Refitting and lowering the car.

But the side sill jacking point should still be good to place the factory jack supplied with the car to change a flat tyre.

Jacking at the front end is worse if you ask me... I have nice MG alloys and was surprised how heavy they are...

They're is a jack point on the forums showing just behind the exhaust muffler where to suspension arms join together in the middle that is a good place to jack the car up from

I got hydraulic ramps from CJ Autos. Bit pricey but saves a lot of hassle. Also recommend a car creeper. Especially when doing oil changes. Sump drain and filter is a long way under. I've had two years of this so far with mine. So I will apologise now for all the comments that are likely to come.🤨

Did you do the bell crank upgrade/gear selector ends? Did it make much difference to the gear change. Thanks for your video 👍😊

I haven't done those things, the gear change is OK at the moment. I plan to do a better drive review once lockdown is over.

Just drive it up onto a pair of Halfords ramps for an oil and filter change

Dear Friend. As the TF is so low, what I the best way to look under the car, to find that jacking point. Do you use a mirror, I guess once it's found you always know, but the first time it must be almost impossible, most people laying on their backs simply cannot see upwards under then car? Thanks for the help. TF 2004 OWNER DRIVER.

The best way I found was to use a pair of ramps. Be careful though.. because the car is rear wheel drive it tends to just push ramps under the front wheels along the ground; works well id you reverse onto them for access under the engine though.

I have seen a piece of carpet attached to the ramp so driving onto the carpet which should hold the ramp then drive up and onto said ramp.
