I have one in pimlico blue which is lighter than the one you have. There are more things it could have but then for the price I think it is a reasonable car. To be honest I am not bothered about the missing things, I can set a timed charge using my home charger, I keep my wooly hat on until the car warms up when it is cold (which only takes a couple of minutes). The battery% would be good but the blobs on the gauge are broken down as below. I think if you have realistic expectation of the car based on its low price then I don't think you can be disappointed. 8 : 91-100% 7 : 80-91% 6 : 69-80% 5 : 58-69% 4 : 47-58% 3 : 36-47% 2 : 25-36% 1 :

I really like the cuts you did and stayed on topic very well. Lots of info. If I were in the market for such a car I would certainly go for a test drive. One can hope they could add SoC to console via a software update.

One of the biggest problems with the EV market is there are not enough lower priced cars especially ones as big as a Qashqai! Remember this EV is at a bargain price, but still has blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic warning, reversing camera, heated seats, large slide/tilt sunroof, the boot is 2 level and a 7yr warranty and much more. I have owned one for 18mths its been great I like the high seat position. The timed charge is controlled by any good wall charging box, I have a 'Ohme' model and it works well. The lack of percentage is not that much of a problem, what did you guys do with your old petrol cars? I am a happy owner its great value really, remember the price bracket. Also SAIC (MG) makes VAG cars in China also GM and Cadillac notice the Audi A1 type heater vents? It goes well.

I really really like this car for its price point. I drove it for a week and loved it; apart from some of the software niggles and satnav mistakes. As a Tesla owner, I think the MG ZS EV is value-for-money and has features that even my Model S does not have such as the blindspot indicators on the wing mirrors, great all-round visibility, heated seats, rear window wiper. I consider the MG ZSEV to be an ideal second EV for me; and I also recommend it to anyone who is considering an affordable family EV.

I’ve had mine since December and it’s becoming great fun to drive and live with. I think it’s because it’s a simple to own and drive that it has character. It’s glued to the road on country lanes, if a little bouncy at higher speed. The MG Pilot works a lot better than the same systems on my previous Skoda Superb.

I've also had mine since Dec 2020 and I agree with the comments above. Lots of fun and everything you need (but no fuss)- a really good introduction to EVs. It's kind of similar to the first Skoda Octavia where they suddenly got everything right at a good price point. You can tell the reviewer was finding it fun, too

I don't think you can say "a lot more car" than the ZS. The Zoe is much smaller, much less equipment including safety tech and doesn't have any smart connected features either. It's got a bigger range but that's about it.

I've had mine for 7 months and I'm rejecting it. Had nothing but issues with the roof creaking, a-pillars rattling, dash squeak, knock in the steering column and a door rattle. They had it two weeks trying to sort the sunroof creak and turns out they hadn't and it was worse. They've now had it for a further two weeks to fix the issues and I don't know when I'm getting it back.

Don't say anything about the Chinese's, just use it to as an excuse and remove her for good. Do not regret anything. Clearly you are lucky because it seems that you would have died from being frozen in your car during the winter if you pass the heat of the summer. If you are lucky enough (or unlucky depending of your deep wishes) to have been able to go further than your drive way during those cold Canadian winters.

@johnw309
@johnw309 3 жыл бұрын
In my experience it's a 110km/h car. It will of course go quicker, but the economy suffers much more. Overall it gives me a realistic amount of range. I can do 200 km comfortably at 120Km/h, then re-charge. This is okay for me and good for me to take a break at this point for recharge. For the recharge it can do 76Kw, so use a 100Kw charger and this re-fills in around 30 mins, so enough time for coffee. All in all it's a good car to live with

Problem with this car, you soon out grow it and wanting more range and other stuff, unless you are on a budget. I had it for one year, and now I have id4. Mg zs ev does not update over the air, so had to take it two to three times to the dealer for update.

I agree with your comment. Now I've sampled electric cars for the first time with the ZS I now want more. I've just ordered the updated Hyundai Kona Electric after 7 months of the ZS (more than a month of that time off the road being fixed on two separate occasions) The Kona has almost twice the range, more "economical" per KW and also has all of the connected services you want - preheating, timed charging etc.
@iconfuez6538

Yeah that's the only drawback: the range. How practical is it if you occasionally drive larger distances like 300km+?
@jaz4280
@jaz4280 3 жыл бұрын
@@iconfuez6538 on average, after full charge, you probably drive 100 miles and you want to charge. It's range on motorways would be about 130 miles on average. So you want to charge when you got 30 miles at least. For me it became a problem with the occasional long trips. You have to baby it on the motorway, not driving more than 60 miles per hour.

I hope this thing is very cheap, like the cheapest of the market, even for a car which would not be electric, because otherwise they will never sale any. It looks like they took parts from here and there and put them together to try to have the better, look I would say, possible. I'm probably very hard on it, but I can't help... Maybe I'm just bad, or very tired, I don't know. Sorry for that. Edit : And now I watched the all stuff and not just the very first tour of it and... It's even worse. 🙄😞 But it was kind of "funny" to see you being so nice (I don't mean that you are not nice usually). It feels that you were very trying to control everything you could say or make feel to us. Like someone would say to a child, showing you the worse abomination he just drew, to try to find something encouraging to say and not make him cry, because, in the same time, you really don't like to lie. 😀 But it has the merit of existing and to bring an electric car to someone. Edit (again) : Oh I just watched it again, I had missed so much stuff. 😃😂🤣 "This is the luxury model, because they can't sell the other ones, It's not allowed here because there were not seat" 🤣 "You have a button for the battery, but it doesn't do anything anyway" 😂 "You have a mute button, and it works" 🤣 "This function gives you... but sometimes... it's doesn't... But it's Okaaaaaaay" 😃 "The regen is very strong, (A few moment later), but it doesn't use it when it slows down". 🤣 "You turn the lane assist off and when you get back in the car, it's still off" Did you try to turn it back on? Maybe it just doesn't work anymore... 😀😂🤣. "The direction is OK... (Later), Sometime the wheel turns a bit by itself and I don't know why" Is this car supposed to have a direction assist? Maybe it has and like all the other stuff it might works sometime... Just not when it's working. 😂🤣 If it doesn't have a direction assist, then you might loose your wheels.... But it's OK I guess 😃😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 And those silences, and small noises you make sometime after trying some functions, are just priceless... 😃😂🤣 Oh my god, this car is inhabited with Benny Hill's spirit. This video is just a pearl, if every one watch it several times like me, you are going to blow up the number of view on this one. 👍✨ I whish I could give you more "Like"
