It is so strange to me that almost all of them have names based on gemstones but then there is a random "Magenta" and "Daisy" there

I tried not to be too negative in this video, but any jokes I make at the dolls’ expense is just for entertainment purposes. I know the purpose of these is for very young children, no need to say “omg they’re for kids get over it” bc it was never that serious to begin with! ❤

Also just as like an artistic criticism, if they were going to make these their siblings they shouldn't look like baby versions of the main girls. Its a wasted opportunity design wise to not make a unique design for a "unique" character. They could have just made this RH kindergarten if they weren't going to be creative whatsoever.

Your being too charitable in my opinion. Just saying, I know 4 little girls in my life that LOVED rainbow high how it WAS. I showed them Skyler’s little sister and they weren’t happy. They r hideous and kids are EXTREMELY brutally honest. If kids think something is ugly, they will tell you! lol. I’m sure MGA will not only hear feedback from adults but criticism from the kids who loved rainbow high.

Theory on why MGA has let RH go to pot. They hate Mattel so they got mad seeing people put RH clothes on Barbies. So they decide to make the outfits ugly and cheap looking for people wont do it. Also they are probably tired of seeing these dolls go clearance later on.

Maybe it's lack of make up, but the eyes are heavy lidded, like their stoned or bored. The faces just have such a somber expression. But, I know, we're used to them sparkling glass eyes & cute pouty mouths.

Soooooo for the most part my opinion of these hasn't shifted beyond 'meh', but I've seen the stock photo of Indigo Bailey, and...I think I might buy her? She has a full head of micro braids, a genuinely cute outfit in spite of the plastic top, and in general just looks sweeter and way less creepy than any of these other gremlins. Is my purple bias showing? Maybe. But if that were truly the case I be boosting Amethyst as well, and...that's not happening 😆 Honestly I'm hesitant to write this line off completely--the low price and nice quality hair makes them potential custom fodder, if nothing else. A body swap and the hand of a skilled repaint artist could yield interesting results. I personally won't be tackling such a project, but I have friends on the DIY side of the doll community who are already making plans to do just that.

Clearly designed for little kids but they lack any real appeal and I think pointless when the Rainbow High dolls are already popular with 4 years and up. But MGA are trying to onboard children at a younger age from 3 up so that they imprint on the toys and get emotionally attached. Then when they get older they buy the larger dolls into their teens, there is a great video about this on "That Doll Rescue Show."

Why doesn't Daisy have a flower purse? Why a bow? We have Delilah so obviously they know what a daisy looks like. Plus Sapphire looks like she's the younger sister of Hali Capri in that one photo her hair looks more real than Skyler's hair.

I think the creators caught wind and are catering for a non offensive doll line for children. Remember that Karen who went on a nonsensical diatribe about how "suggestive" dolls were looking? Mind you she didn't go over to the six rows of baby dolls, plush dolls and 18" dolls that were more suitable for her sensibilities 🙄

These dolls are not appealing to me. But I am a mom who has a 4 year old daughter. And I would love to not spend more than $10 on a doll for her. She has several Monster High dolls and I also like to collect Monster High. So it always hurts my soul to pay $25 or more for a beautiful Monster High Doll that I would rather keep for myself, and give it her for all their accessories to be lost, their hair to be destroyed, and their clothes to be swapped or missing. As a parent, this line is a great idea for children who it is for. Regular Rainbow High, not so much. I have a Skylar, and I would never let my daughter play with her! Lmao

I'm a bit of a child hater, even though I technically have a child character as my profile pic lol. Really, I'm not though. Felt a little bad because I said "Rainbow High is dead" today, in front of a little girl, while showing my friend your community post. Didn't yet scroll to Opal before I said it. She's a nice doll for what she is, idk why they couldn't have made the others as fun.

The eyes look pretty soulless and why are they half-lidded? Even the regular girls don't have those so I don't get it and it's kind of... wrong imo. Putting those aside though, it just looks cheap to me. The clothes look cheap, they basically look like baby versions of the older girls, they have hand molds to keep their hands in certain positions instead of having them uniform so some of them actually have bent arms and stuff so definitely not made for people who would want to dress them up. These feel like they should be like those real-size baby dolls as the High schoolers as babies rather than their little sisters. Also slime still why. I just look at my old RH's and SH's and wish they did more. I don't understand what the direction is that they want to take with this brand now.

I hate these, I hate these all with a burning passion and I do believe they deserve all the hate they get. The eyes are literally haunted! That being said; I understand I am not the target audience and I also understand that (thankfully) no one can force me to buy these. There is no need to scream and shout or boycot anyone. I wish people would remember that more often. Just don't leave hate comments for people who do love these dolls and buy them and enjoy them. We don't all have to like the same things, it's all good.

Not happy with these, and I am wondering why MGA just Has to make Every single line they have geared towards children? They could at least have one line for adults with the beautiful fashions and makeup they used to have.
