Monika and Peter- so beautiful- I saw her at Chicago jazz fest maybe early 2000,s she opened by saying “It’s Sunday - we’re going to play church music- RIp-Carla--/ Lord you guys played a sublime version of lawns- had blast playing w Peter two weeks ago Tonic Ball w Wendy Reed- your rendition bringing sweet tears of joy!!

The song "Lawns" was written by Carla Bley and first released by her in 1987. Here, the Monika Herzig Acoustic Project does the sweetness and gentility of Nature proud, with this rendition.

I miss those i don't really know how to describe it , early Stevie Wonder like emotional soulful progressions , which what draws me artists like Alicia keys, and Mariah Carey, because their music have allot of soulful dominants and half dim/ 7 Flat 5,s transitions which is what i like about this piece
