For that quest I used the set pierce HBG (ceanataur low rank) with heroic whim skill and Narga HBG

Copied from gamefaq : Well Magnitude definately is the strongest in terms over damage per hit. But some people complain about the amount of Purple sharpness it has. A lot of people like to say Chaotic Order is the best but the final Khezu hammer is better than it in almost every situation. Then there's the final Garuga and Naruga hammers which are really good, but with the proper skills get outclassed. I think the best "overall" hammer is the Khezu one. It has more purple than Magnitude, but not as much as Chaotic Order. But really, I think the "amount" of purple is redundant. It takes no effort or time really to sharpen. ~TheMagician42
