SSC doesn't seems to be optimal for speedrun, it more suitable for casual play, funny content and meme. Old style with Harvest Moon still better.

@@markvermo7523 SSC charged attack require a lot of time to setup, but it doesn't cost wirebug so if a big opening is presented, SSC is a good choice, not.....the counter though, I still find ISS counter much easier to use. As for Harvest Moon I didn't use it even once, I'm still not at the level where I can use it effectively, Serene Pose can save my butt sometimes so I'm sticking with it

i said before helmbreaker better dps than ssc..but helm breaker to sakura slash to fc ssc combo against a down monster is the best combo..

@@moomanchu608 I really like the change, haven't gotten a chance to use it myself, but it feels like they really made the longsword a low skill floor high skill ceiling weapon. Before it felt pretty easy to get high damage, but now you actually have to use every tool and it's awesome. Probably feels amazing to play

It doesn’t really make sense for causal players but for speedrunners it still is very good

Thing is you will never be able to pull this off within party, I think combo video one is more of easier way to do best dmg and still be able to use in party play

@@arthurboyle7982 i don't know, i don't get why people say LS had a very low skill ceilling before, you need to play very well to use the counters, for me it was med/high skill floor very high skill ceilling, but now it feels more as you said, low skill floor (very if harvest moon is used) high skill ceilling. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't garbage if you missed, but to use it well (i don't talk about optimisation wich was in my opinion really skillfull) wasn't that easy. Now i find the gameplay more yolo, and strangly enough more easy for casuals... By the fact now you don't need as much to have the monster's attention with sakura slash and sacred sheath combo, wich make the weapon more viable in multiplayer scenarios. And you don't as much need to know the good timmings to counter and punish monsters, now you can just sakura slash to charge up, switch to old gameplay as a filler, and when an oppening is arround just SSC and deal damage... no more dance mandatory. I already hear LS haters yelling this weapon is still omega god tier and can be played by a blind monkey...

He essentially knows the direction the second dive will be coming from and he makes sure to counter the first dive into the direction that will avoid the second dive.

Just use serene pose, in my opinion its alot better then iai spirit slash because it does alot more damage and its so much easier to pull off since it auto counters. I dont even use iai spirit slash at all because how short the frame to use and the lack of damage but at least it has good KO capabilities

They use red to lay the moon field and generate sword gauge with special sheathe, then spend gauge on helm breaker. On a knockdown or big window, they then swap to blue for either sacred sheathe or Sakura slash into one

don't worry about clear times so much while just going through the game the first time, you're not gonna have maxed weapons and a good build so there's no way you could be competitive with speedrunners. 10-20 minutes seems pretty average while just on a playthrough.

@@鏖魔キリン I know it’s gonna get better but at first it’s definitely more challenging I got over 28 minutes on a MR Volvidon cause he moves way too much 😭 On the bright side I got Blood Orange Bishaten in only 9 minutes though 🥲

It’s spirit reckoning slash that replaces the round slash, the no spirit gauge consumption is from harvest moon that replaces serene pose

yes it does speed up the charge but its not worth cause on focus 3 its only like 0.3 seconds that u get out of it and quick sheath gives u way more

Was about to say... It's hella easy to mod God talismans, especially on PC. Almost all speedrunners do it at this point just to be able to compete with other people on an even playing ground, as well as to save time and avoid the hassle of course. Without God charms, they'll just lose to other speedrunners. Phemeto is one such example, he puts the fact out in the open and makes it clear that he does it. Pro tip: Never try to get the same talisman to make the same set as those people you see in speedruns/TA for yourself, it's virtually impossible to achieve legitimately, it will burn you out on the whole game.

I think it's as good as it can get, for now (I mean do you even need to optimize more? This is already better than what's even realistically possible for the average player). Good luck if you think there's any possible way to improve on this build though. All you'll need is a talisman/charm better than theirs.
