I will never understand why people spend tens of thousands if not hundreds of dollars on a nice boat. But have no idea how to operate them or load them. Spend some money to take some lessons is not going to hurt. It will keep you from looking like a full D bag at the boat ramp and docks. What's better than boat ramp watching? Marina, restaurant, and bar dock watching.

I've always considered myself to be a pretty smart person, but after watching these videos, I'm thinking im more of a genius.

I feel for the last guy... I have drug my skeg 100 yards up the ramp and through the parking lot past 100s of people and not one person said anything to me even though I had my window down. I was lucky the damage was pretty minimal but it sucks when you are trying to hurry and not be a burden to others and you forget something so simple and so crucial. I learned 2 lessons: 1. Going slow and getting it right is faster than going fast. 2. No one is going to help you, not even a "hey, your motor is dragging on the ground" - they are more likely to make it a video for youtube so they can laugh at your misfortune again and again.

Watching these makes me realize no matter how much I pay per foot for slippage, it’s sooooo worth it.
