In the dozens of cathay campaigns Ive played I never once thought to befriend zhatan thats very smart move

I thought getting shanyang early and sell it for defensive alliance was my my most clever opening. Never thought about chaos wasteland gambit.

I like the changes made to cathay, where you dont have to mind recruiting lords or hero that will change the yin and yang bar.... Still trying to figure out the changes in the building haha

Cathay new balance system is good for multiplayer campaign but a bit boring when you play against AI because its too strong 20% upkeep and binus ms +15% more gold is super strong. I would say dwarfs has something to take notes from Cathay for example replenishment system as a technology and not+3% at the turn 100. I like dwarfs but really hope they will get a proper update at spring and they can be suitable for multiplayer campaign

I will say the biggest threat to cathay is snitch down south. Man ohhh man if those rats get rolling it can be an absolute shit show to dig them out
