I think we can appreciate how the weapons of each reaper actually accent their personalities quite well: Grell's is rather messy in terms of making a kill, but because of that, there's a theatrical splash of red every time (going the extra mile for style). Will's is efficient, versatile, and quick (much like him, serious and accurate, uses it like a tool and not a weapon) Undertaker with the classic giant transforming scythe (fits his aesthetic and shows his age, as he's better with ranged attacks and disguising himself...it might also be an allusion to the shields he puts up in terms of his ability to laugh) And Knox has a lawn mower (which he rides around on, showing that he's still young and depends more on his scythe than his ability to hold his own) Also, they're all technical tools for the outdoors...dunno why though (Chainsaws cut trunks and branches, pruners clip stems and bushes, scythes are for the wheat fields, lawnmowers cut grass)

Suddenly realised Ciel is only 13 but is an earl managing a big ass company and is keeping a demon in check at the same time while here I am much older than him and barely keeping my life together

Damn i put this on 2x and it’s straight up hilarious.

The animators have outdone themselves. I'll be honest, out of all the episodes of black butler, the opening to Book of Circus and Book of the Atlantic are the best ones. They're so fluently made, and i adore how well animated they are. I sometimes wish, that i could do the same, it will take awhile, but im sure eventually i'll be okay.

The sotoba is a grave marker, Undertaker hides several of them, but only one is his real scythe. Markers of death, that all broke in battle, except one that can’t be broken: Symbolizing his own life and death compared to other people’s. While other people die, he’s “unbreakable”. Second, they are Buddhist objects, a religion where you reborn after death, as you deserve. And the object indeed does “reborn” just as Undertaker did... So what does he deserve...?
