I really like the sound, and I like the three levels of sound you can achieve with the easy add baffles that are available. You can run the muffle san baffle, with a cone baffle, and a packed baffle. The last will be very nice on long trips because it can sound almost stock on the interstate. My friend and I just changed the timing belt on his 91 Miata:) Great car.

My friend that helped with the roll bar has more tools and could have helped in heating the flange. Thanks for the suggestion for any of my future adventures:) All of that time and minor damage to the one stud would have been saved, had I just tried to get out the stud stuck in the old muffler first with the channel locks since the double nut idea did not work! Or had I had a spare nut sitting around that fit the threads...

I purchased the optional packed sound baffle to complement the included baffle. With 3 sound options I run the exhaust with no baffle:D I absolutely love this muffler and still get tons of compliments on my car's sound.

Yes the latch is bolted to the rollcage. Mine initially did not have enough bite and I had to add a washer or two to lean the latch toward the front of the car.

No, I did not need the donut gasket.

The sound is just from the GWR exhaust with a pre-installed cone baffle, no cat delete. I did not realize the free cone baffle was pre-installed with my excitement. It is a bit louder with a touch more burble with the baffle removed. There is a single bolt under the exit pipe you can remove to take out the baffle. The only time the exhaust is slightly annoying is coasting/decelerating with the RPM between 2000-2600 at slow speeds. BUT, I love the exhaust overall!!!

The red accent stripe is red vinyl tape I applied. It takes some trial and error, but a roll is cheap on Amazon and still looks like new 6 years later.

@Pety 12 Once you get the end of the tape attached you need to run out like three feet with the hand holding the vinyl tape. Then either use the other hand to help the tape lay down or just use your eye from a distance. There is definitely a learning curve and trial and error, but the tape is cheap.

@Pety 12 The longer you can run out the attached tape and lay it down from a distance, the easier to get a straight line.

I did not remember when I made this video, because I was so excited to install the muffler, that it comes shipped with a preinstalled cone baffle. It is right at the tip held in with one bolt. I generally drive without a baffle..no cone or the optional packed baffle I purchase for about $30. With no baffle there is even more burble and popping than you hear in this video. It sounds great. The only negative is the large amount of bass sound decelerating around 1800-2200 rpm driving slowly. It is overly loud off-gas driving slowly. I also would not want to drive on the interstate for hours on end without a baffle installed. It is not obnoxious, just my preference. Want to cruise around with the wife or take a very long drive? Just take 20 seconds and put in one of the baffles. So there really are no negatives. You can adjust the sound to your liking for little to no money. You have two sound levels, or 3 if you purchase the small packed baffle. I LOVE THIS MUFFLER:D
