The options are pretty bad. You could always by one and get it wrapped in any color that you want. Just buy a black one and get it wrapped green.

Jason (Engineering Explained KZfaq channel) had an ND1 that he had wrapped Yellow. It looked FANTASTIC!!!

@@robbysmith1178 If you want to be depressed, go look at all the factory colors for 2002 and all the factory options......all those colors, and all those options and the person who originally bought the 2002 we now own chose silver with no options......so why did we buy a silver one then used if we wanted a better color? Extensive maintenance records and work done to it, and it was less than 10 minutes away from the home.

I would echo this feedback, I watched on my iPad Pro (no headphones). I could still hear you, but the music was still distracting IMO

I listened to it again, and yeah it was a bit loud. I was probably just tired and hurrying to finish and I overlooked that.

Agree with everyone here. Lower your music track. It's competing with your vocal. Makes it hard to finish watching your content.

Do you mean Artisan Red? That's the new burgundy-ish sort of color, kind of a dark color that shows a pop of color in the sun. I had heard rumors this is eventually going to replace Soul Red, but I have no confirmation of that. I would rock that color, for sure.

I did see it in one of the press releases I went through for my information, but I am not able to find that one right now. I didn't find it on Mazda's site, though. I will post an update if I find any information I posted is incorrect.

I wish you could get the Recaro seats without the BBS/Brembo stuff, and I wish it was an option on the GT here.

You really have two options.. hope you can find a minispare that fits and never use your trunk, or take some precautions to minimize your risk. I chose the second option. I've driven Miatas without a spare for most of the time I owned one... taken long road trips, etc.. I carry a tire repair kit (not the fix a flat stuff Miatas come with) and an air pump, and that has been enough so far. I have never had to use it.

Do you need a spare tire for ALL of your driving? Or just for longer trips? As @MiataChannel mentions, if you could actually find a mini spare that fits in the trunk, that will essentially take up all of your trunk space, which would not work well for travel. There are some carriers that mount on the trunk lid and would allow you to carry a spare on top of the trunk lid, and retain your trunk space. But I imagine that the tire would need to be removed every time you want to open the trunk. Plus it will likely block most of your rear vision. A better option (for you) would be to get a set of QUALITY run flat tires.

@@RbNetEngr Yeah, I would need this permanent as I travel between cities and towns in Canada where some roads have no cellphone coverage due to the mountains. I had an incident this last November when I was renting a KIA car which does not come with spare tire (and I did not know that), so I ended spending 3 hours in cold weather waiting for someone to pick me up from the road so I can get to a cellphone area to make a phone call, then worse than that that is the local tire shop in that town did not have the same tire as the car, so long story short, I ended spending over 18 hours to get me back on the road. That is why a spare tire is a most have for me. 2 cars are on my short-list right now, Miata 2025 and Wrangler sports 2025.

You can get run-flat tires.

@@silverlover5817 Last week I traveled and the rental vehicle I had was a 2024 Jeep Wrangler. I had never driven a Jeep before. My primary car is a 2008 Mazda MX5 (NC1). I was pretty disappointed with the total lack of steering feel in that Jeep. My MX5, as well as my other fun car (BMW E36 M3) both have very telepathic steering feel - I know exactly what the front tires are doing at all times. By contrast, the Jeep felt more like driving a cheap arcade video game where the steering has the same lack of feel when turning. Also, the Jeep (with 400 miles on it) had a surprising amount of road noise from the tires, and it also made some whistling sounds from around the doors. And the fuel economy was pretty bad (16 mpg on the highway!). I would stay away from the Jeep, and probably the MX5, too. Have you looked at the new Mazda 3 hatchback? It is an amazing car, and you can get it with a manual transmission, too.

And while that seems like it would be logical, the configurator on MazdaUSA's website will only let you select Aero Grey or Snowflake White as a color if you pick the tan leather. Go see for yourself.

Yes, I saw that last week and found it odd. I’m hoping it’s an oversight on their part or possibly an attempt to sell ‘24 inventory of already produced white and areo grey GT’s with the tan leather option before offering the option in machine grey. We’ll see! I was anticipating purchasing a GT in Platinum with the deep red leather interior but that’s been nixed. My second choice was machine grey with tan. If that’s not a choice for ‘24, I’m done with Mazda altogether.

I can't say for sure on the status of those Clubs out there, as I have no direct link with Mazda. However, the dealer telling you that the S-plan is not available on a club is more likely a result of them trying to make more money on the sale than anything else.

@jamesarnos912 personally I would go used to get a cheaper price, but the updated infotainment would be enough for me to go for a new one. The old system is pretty dated and clunky.

I love my 2021 RF.We get miles better choices and specs in the UK.

I don't have any direct knowledge on this. Where Iive, the cars don't really rust. My daily driven, 111k mile NC underside looks like new still. I have seen people posting on NDs rusting like other Miatas, but I don't know how common it is.

The tranny problems are blown out of proportion. They were only on the beginning production models and usually from harder driving, launches. I’m still on the first gen tranny on my nd

My 2016 GT had the transmission replaced in the first year.

The details Mazda released do not differentiate between manual or automatic on that feature.

MazdaUSA site says it doesn't, and I base my information on that.

That really depends on what you use your Miata for. I do a lot of driving on curvy roads, so I prefer the LSD. The Sport and Automatic GT are the only models that come with an open differential, and any manual Club or GT has the LSD.

Yeah, you have to get Recaro with the Club package for both RF and soft top.

The upside of that color is that you never need to wash your car, as it will look the same dirty or clean 💯

They just started posting info about it a month ago. That has been typical for the Miata over the last few years.

If you consider that a fully loaded 1990 Miata with a hard top cost $17,168 msrp when it was new, and then calculate that price to 2024 dollars, that converts to about $42,700 equivalent value. So I would have to say the 2024 RF is the better value, especially considering how much more technologically advance it is by comparison.

Actually, more choice does add cost and complexity. There isn't enough profit margin on the Miata for Mazda to justify offering infinite color choices. People always seem to forget that Mazda is a very small company, compared to all of its competition. The fact that they build the Miata at all is a miracle. I suspect it will continue to be limited in choices, unless Mazda gains a huge amount of market share which actually is their plan. I guess we'll see where they are in a few years.

Well, both Porsche and BMW offer options to customize your car from the factory (BMW Individual, for some models). But doing so costs extra money, sometimes A LOT OF extra money! Given that people are already getting price sensitive when an ND MX5, as currently orderable, approaches or tops $40k, how many people do you think are willing to spend another $10k to get a custom color, unique interior color, etc? Paint wraps are now available in very high quality, and pretty much any color imaginable (including nightmare colors!). Interior color options are more limited, with Black being the dominant color. But a Black interior goes with any exterior color, whereas a Tan interior doesn’t go with all exterior colors. Of course, if he was going to custom order an ND, @MiataChannel would probably choose a Zircon Sand exterior with a Tan interior…NOT!!!!! lol

@@RbNetEngr That's an apples to bowling balls comparison because those are luxury brands with HUGE profit margins. Production volume is only half the story. The other half is how much profit you make on each unit sold. Porsche and BMW are killing it in that dept because their products are absurdly overpriced. People pay it because of the badge. Mazda certainly is not in that league.

Actually, stacking up the option list on colour and interiors packages is a nightmare for manufacturers and dealers alike. "Bolt on bits", no problems, but when customers are optioning colours etc. the manufacturer is all but producing bespoke vehicles. It sounds easy, but getting an order from a dealer in "where ever", to head office in Japan, to the "chief of production", to the paint crew, the upholstery crew, the dispatch crew, the shipping crew......... nightmare. And you pay for it.

I don't think it should not have a turbo, but I do think it will not. Can't see Mazda doing that.

The original price of a base model Miata in 1989 was $14,000, which in today's economy would be the equivalent of $34,600. So I am not sure if I agree with you on that.

@@MiataChannel such a stupid argument, consider that our wages have been in the negative in the last 20 years my friend, so yes this car is probably priced right considering inflation what u dont consider is that our wages haven’t kept up! And if u want to go into more detail since boomers and un educated ppl like to use this argument i definitely got more detail! but this is in a nut shell while inflation has gone up wages haven’t so not as much disposable income For toys which is what this car is.

I don't think this feature will be on the US spec cars. The information I got prior to making this video was not specific on which markets were getting which features. I see no mention of it on MazdaUSAs website.

I would have to disagree there. The blue is just a step above black... and SRC is the only real color in the pallette.
