He absolutely is responsible. She was very verbal about her struggles with and fear of him. The question is what was the final trigger? What did he say or threaten her with? Uploading more risqué photos of her to further embarrass her? That should be illegal, and he should be held accountable if that's the case. She may have "disgusted" him, but he disgusts everybody else. He's a horrible person.

His church should be holding him responsible for his foul behavior right from the time she was 14, on. They must condone it if he's still their pastor and they all know about him grooming her.

There is NO help for women like Mica and myself. My childs father continues to terrorize me even though I left five years ago, married someone else and moved 4 hours away. He kidnapped my daughter last year, paid off the judge and I'm still fighting. Desperately praying someone somewhere will hear me. I have tried everything. I just paid 4 grande for a lawyer to make the parenting plan that he broke. I couldn't afford it again. There is ZERO help for women who have been manipulated, physically and emotionally abused, stalked, and terrorized. He was under investigation by the department of homeland security for having naked pictures of my then 7 year old daughter and the police and court assisted with his abuse simply for money. This is the world we live in. Laws need to be changed. Womens shelters dont do crap to protect abused women. I feel so sorry for Mica. My ex will not stop until I'm dead as well. He will probably be the one to kill me. Just another number. The world does not give a shit. They wouldnt help you when you were alive Mica. They just want your story. It's so horrible. Three thins that stuck me. There was screaming a pause the a noise i can't say on KZfaq. Then marks on her arms. She's found in the river. She phoned 911 to be tracked so she could be found. So why would she end up in the river. He state in his letter he is moving on with his life. And yet he allowed her nothing. Removed her cell, laptop , car est. I thought it was almost impossible to commit some one if they refuse. So how did he convinced them to do so against her will. I so hope they preserved her for more investigation.

They teach kids about "STRANGE DANGER" but the fact is less than 10% of crimes INCLUDING murder, meaning that the other 90% and murders or abuse are carried out by someone the victim KNOWS! Along with teaching kids about "stranger danger" they should be teaching them how to see the signs of abuse in EVERYONE and EVERYTHING including people known to them! You can only be betrayed by someone YOU KNOW and TRUST, a stranger can't betray you the way a loved one or a trusted person can! This should be taught at a very young age just like the road traffic rule "to look at both sides before crossing the street" they should be taught how to look out for red flags and other signs, surrounding mental, physical, verbal,emotional and even sexual abuse, just like they teach sex education, rules of the road and stranger danger! Every child should also be taught self defense and life savings measures in my opinion!

I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder from 25 y/o to 32. I was put on lithium after the constant abuse of a narcissist ex and boss. I advocated for myself and I don't have bipolar. I have ADHD. I remember my ex was happy to take me to therapy and chug lithium and olanzapine (antipsichotic) to "make me softer and calmer" of course he wanted that, he wanted me confused and seem crazy. I remember he even convinced my mother to put me back on the bipolar meds when I started to see right through the abuse and manipulation. I almost married this man.. but like Mica, I looked for help, broke it off and did a lot of reading and self work. I AM now thriving, on the right meds and right diagnosis. It pains me to know and learn about this case because it hits SO close to home. not a lot of people (specially women) have the energy or resources to get out of that situation. It drains you mentally, emotionally and financially. If you are a person going through something similar please find help, you deserve a love that makes you feel free and safe.

This family seems pretty detached from actually doing anything for her early on her sister has no idea if she was having sex with this man and her teens. If somebody was hurting my sister, if I had one and abusing them, I would go to the ends of the Earth to make sure I still showed up in her face to talk to her to help her. This family also failed her.

How can she be cremated already, with no toxicology, no testing for GSR, no test to see if there was water in her lungs, and no completed investigation??? I understand her family wanted to see her one last time, but couldn’t a court have put a hold on cremation, until a thorough investigation was completed?! The family was, likely, under duress to sign that paper to see her, as long as she was cremated. Disgusting! He abused her family and her one last time, to get his way! This is maddening! 🤬

This needs to be seen through, so that regulations and laws are put in place so it never happens again. Let us not forget what happened to Nicole Brown Simpson (OJ Simpson). I hope Mica's father and family may get some help from Nicole Brown Simpson's family in how to begin the process of fighting. I too am a survivor of this same kind of abuse. There were bruises on her arms that looked like handprints and possibly signs of struggle??? Wtf? Why wasn’t that mentioned in the report? THAT needs to be explained!. What was the toxicology? Maybe she was drugged and that’s why that 911 call sounded so checked out. We need a 3rd party to look at this now. So much doesn’t add up. But the bruises REALLY make it seem like something else happened that needs to be exposed.
