The acoustics of that iconic, retro-futuristic structure, those fans with their frenetic noise and artistic choreographies, that birthplace of tifo culture, that holly palace of this beautiful game with countless epic matches over the past hundred years, that home place of one of the world’s greatest sport rivalries in the only city in Europe with two UCL winners… There’s no other stadium on this planet that has been home ground to so many Ballon d’Or winners. If you’ve ever been there, you could feel that magical weight of the air soaked in the passion, blood, sweat, tears and joy of football history. There’s no doubt for me, this is the most sacred temple in the world of football.

@@PhilippePini-dh4zg Every stadium is unique. San Siro is great, but there are better/louder atmospheres, way better/louder for some of them. At Marseille against the worst Ligue 1 teams, the atmosphere is often as electric as San Siro for a qualification to Champions League final...It was the case recently against Auxerre and Troyes...Imagine if we (Marseille) were playing a Chamopns League semi-final...

I remember one day 10 years ago in London I went for a run up in Hampstead and I was wearing inter Milan top as I was approaching the zebra crossing ( a metre from it) a car stopped and gave me the hand gesture to cross I thought that it was nice considering he had all the time to pass first As I weaved the driver to thank him I saw him at the wheel … it was Thierry Henry

TC Candler Lol, San Siro is great, but there are way better/louder atmospheres in Europe. And of course there is a great atmosphere for a qualification to the Champions League Final...There are some stadiums louder for "normal" games than San Siro for an UCL sem-final. So imagine if these clubs were playing an UCL semi-final.

@@Laurent_08 With the exception of the Turkish teams, I have been to virtually every major stadium in Europe. I would put San Siro at the top for atmosphere when it is rocking. Other surprisingly great atmospheres are Goodison Park and Westfalenstadion and Hampden Park.

San Siro is a historical stadium🔥. The atmosphere is always amazing as it’s like being in a Colosseum👏👏. The San Siro, The Santiago Bernabaue Camp Nou and the Allianz Arena for me are the best stadiums in the world when it comes to having an amazing atmosphere👍.

There's something magic about that place. When full of people it seems like a legendary arena from the past brought to modern time. Either for football or concerts it's maybe the best stadium in the world. I always remember the cheers of the crowd in football matches. and also one time right before a Bruce Springsteen concert a group of six Americans heading to take place at their seats and then being stunned at the view of the full house. Epic.

i tell you, San Siro is breathtaking on matchday, that atmosphere is something electrifying. I'm honour to be at least there at least once to this magnificent stadium. I'd been to Old Trafford, Emirates, Allianze Arena (Juve Home). Atmosphere wise, San Siro tops the lot!

I have been once in San Siro for a derby and I confirm the atmosphere is juste incredible! Basically, Italian derbies and big games are incredible to watch in live! I have also to speak about il Derby Della Capitale Roma-Lazio to which I have been also, here we are talking about something INSANE 🤯 Hope one day both Roma and Lazio could play at big champions league level so that the world could see what I am talking about!

Above the rest ? You don't seem to know that "the rest" isn't just english stadium. I love San Siro, but there are greater/louder atmospheres in Europe : Marseille, Dortmund, some clubs in Turkey, Greece, Serbia...If these teams were playing a Champions League semi-final, the noise would be right away way better/louder than San Siro tonight. And the atmosphere wasn't really amazing (for a UCL semi-final) before Lautaro's goal.

I am a Serie A fan but Serie A doesn't even try to fight racism...Half the stadiums were not up to modern standard 20yrs ago already. Hopefully with Roma winning the Conference League last year and a Serie A team more than likely winning the Europa League this year on top of Milan derby in CL semis will move the whole league up a little bit.

Just as a side note.... the neighborhood name is SanSiro, the official name of the stadium is "Giuseppe Meazza" who was a phenomenal INTER and Italy's National Team (won 2 World Cups) player of the 1930s Obviously the milanisti don't like him so they call it "SanSiro" but Inter fans generally call it "il Meazza" (the Meazza) 🤗

Two wrong pieces of information there, mate… people use San Siro more frequently, but also Meazza is use, I am a milanista and I don’t mind calling it Meazza, nor do the rest of the fans, he played most of his career for Inter, but he did play at ACM a couple of years as well… 😀

Even better because at 1:39 it is Frederico Di Marco, Inter's left wingback with the megaphone singing with the fans, he is a childhood inter fan and used to stand in the Curva Nord with his father. Fantastic.
