You notice how a lot of singers practically have the mic shoved in their mouth? Watch Buble. It's rarely up close. When on the mic stand he actually moves away from it. And yet, that amazing voice just flows effortlessly out. Powerful and strong.

Even though you may be right. Freddie Mercury usually had the mic very close to his mouth, and I would he say he has a pretty powerful voice. Case and point, its opinion.

Also depends on sound design quality. If the person mixing doesn't boost your mic you kinda have to eat it haha

Michael Buble is a performer. He is made to perform on the stage in front of audience. He has the voice to back it up, obviously. He has natural charm to spice it up. His whole body performs art when he's on he stage. This is an artist who is better to be watched live than recorded.

One of the best live performances I’ve ever watched.
It's a good job Buble came along to educate the up and coming generations to what real music is about. He puts his own slant on the songs he sings and no karaoke coping. I'm sure all the great singers we've lost and the songwriters would be proud of him. Keep on truckin' Michael

I’ve you’ve ever watched videos of him live where he sings without a mic you’d know how loud he can get. He used to do a song called “Song for you” by Leon Russell. He would sing the lest verse without a mic and he could fill most indoor theaters with his voice. He just has the ability to project crazy well. And most crooner/big band singers use crazy loud compressor mics so their voices sound really full and tight. Those mics are almost too compressed to the fact that they’re very punchy and almost act as a boost to the signal. So LOUD voice + LOUD mic= Buble

just in case you didn't know. This guy made fame the old-fashioned way, he "earned it". No layer-upon-layer of post-production, no fake hair, no ex-machina gargoyles, just real vocal talent, backed by real humans playing real musical instruments in a real orchestra. oops, did I say "orchestra" out loud? And, really, this isn't his best, IMHO. His duet with Laura Pausini, is sublime, sway, and save the last dance for me are excellent as well. But, if you really want to appreciate this guy, just listen to his "Me & Mrs. Jones" cover, and pay careful attention to how he treats the material with respect, and enthusiasm. If you are like me, and it almost bothers you to hear a modern artist cover a 70s classic, rest assured, Michael doesn't give the lyric away, but he doesn't milk it too much either. A very nice balance, IMHO. It really shows when a talented artist like this actually enjoys singing as much as Michael obviously does.
@ToddLehmanSTL9 жыл бұрын
Hugo Goerner when you really feel a piece of music, or a performance, it touches your soul. A sure sign that some music has had this effect on you is the apparent inability to describe it adequately. I am fairly certain that music is a gift from god, and a primary reason why there exists any peace in the world at all. I am really glad you took time to comment, it brought a big smile to my face to know that there are other sentimental fools like me out there.

I love the fact that he is so naturally talented! He doesn't need to wear an earpiece to stay on key or on beat. He is truly talented!
@rebeccawilliams94155 жыл бұрын
He probably has an on stage monitor (a speaker facing him). if you sing on stage, especially with a large (loud) crowd, you need some kind of feedback. No one could stay in key without being able to hear themselves. An earpiece which is also known as an in ear monitor is just one way of doing this and some people prefer the in ear monitors and some prefer the on stage monitors. It’s purely personal preference, and sometimes expense.
@elisabethmhawkins90255 жыл бұрын
You know most singers wear those ear pieces because of the noise from the audience.

His voice is very powerful. And he more than anyone else knows how to use the mic to even out the volume of his voice.And that's what he's doing.He sang this song so many times that he knows when and where his voice is louder and where he should move the mic away from his mouth. That's all it is to it. Michael is a god gifted singer and talent.There is no way in hell he would ever lipsynch.Not even for a million dollars, because then you would question his talent, and no singer/artist wants that

I have been a fan since Michael Buble' started his career. I have had the privilege of attending several concerts. Although, I have never met him, I can tell you he is by far, one of the most dynamic, talented, creative, artist out there today, and if you've never seen him you have seriously missed out. He cares about his fans, and gives 150%. Listening to his voice brings you back to the Ole days when music had a purpose of making you just "feel good". He reminds me of Sinatra, Dino, and many others...the best at his craft. As for X-Factor, it just shows how people are quick to judge based on their perceptions. Too bad for them, we are the fans that WON, because we inherited an amazing talent otherwise known as Mr. Michael Buble. I think you certainly showed everyone what hard work and determination can do, because MB, you certainly achieved it. We are all so proud of you!! We are always with you...4-Ever a BUBLETTE🌹💕 special thanks to your beautiful family for sharing you with us thru the yrs.(and gramps for getting you started ) We Love You! ❤ 🥰

Just a note to some people who do not understand his movements, it comes from when he performs with everything, the body will move as he interprets the sound feeling and rhythm. He sings with body mind and soul so he will move as he expresses himself, only people who are really intuitive to music will often do this. When you see a singer just standing still they rarely have any emotion. Michael is in tune with the music , lyrics and musical arrangements, and with that said he will move in a certain way which will look strange to people who do not understand this expression of emotions. Singing , real singing is all encompassing.
