I want thank Michael and Laura Carbajal for giving me the opportunity to interview Michael at his famous 9th Street gym in Phoenix, AZ!
"Manitas de Piedra" gives us his thoughts on the highly anticipated match-up between Jesse "BAM" Rodriguez and "El Gallo" Juan Francisco Estrada. They made noise for the lower weight divisions, something Carbajal was famous for doing. We also reflect on his legendary career, his personal life and the Big G. makes an appearance at the end to share some stories they have together.

Super interview. Everyone saw a little of how Michael is. I’m a close friend of his and have about 46+ yrs of friendship with him from the laughs, crying, deaths and victories. For everyone FYI: he’s the type of person that really gave to his community and still continues. During his career when he had his earnings, none of the neighborhood people went hungry. People that know him today don’t even know that. He’s as humble and has the most caring heart you could imagine, too bad people took and continue to take advantage of such a beautiful person. Carbajal is and will always be OUR varrio hero. Varrio ES NUEVE-VERDE PARKE!!! ✊🏽
