I portrayed Michael Cera as Mark Lindsay; he was one of the members of this Sentimental/Radical 60s teen rock group called Paul Revere and the Raiders. I did it as a form of a reenactment about what was going on with the Batman TV series and children's CBS Saturday morning cartoon series, on and off the set.

Sometimes when I watch these closet videos, I feel like the people selecting movies are just posturing. Cera seems like the real deal though. He’s not using vague adjectives to describe the films in a pretentious attempt to sound informed like so many of the other visitors. He is actually making me want to watch some of these. I just added Good Morning to my list. “A good film should be two sides of a good argument.” Brilliant quote. Going in my notebook.

Still all his films do that and the others ones aren't annoying to watch like Close-Up which seems like a failed film to me. The directors other films have engaging sections that examine real life Iranians, Close Up never allows you to get a real feel for this impersonator character, I think it was a better idea on paper than in reality. It probably would've been better material for a comedic take.

+jayricofilms I watched Ozu's 'Late Spring' recently and it really gives an insight into women's Japanese culture in the 40's. Despite it being a relatively antiquated film, the script resembles qualities of a modern nature. The aesthetics are simple and pleasing; a great watch for a lazy Sunday.
