--------
In this clip, Michael Franzese spoke about his relationship with former Philadelphia mob leader Nicky Scarfo, whose son committed suicide while Nicky was embroiled in a federal trial. The topic led Michael to speak about the pressure and scrutiny kids who have mob parents face, and he pointed out that his siblings didn't handle it well.
During the conversation, Michael also spoke about paying off Noreaga $50,000 a month to keep a Panamanian compound when he was in the gas business. He then added that he also paid off politicians, with $25,000 being the most he spent at one time.

Nicky Scarfo was a very strange character. Very personable, social, and funny, but in a split second if you said the wrong thing he would think about putting 2 in your head. Very paranoid individual. He definitely got off on killing. He just loved having total power over everyone else and being feared. I think it is safe to say he had a major napoleon complex.

I agree with you 100%. vlad doesn't seem to realize that these interviews with these former mob bosses or hitmen, They still belong to that sacred code to the Mafia. They're still in "THAT LIFE". Franzese's father put a contract on HIM?? He's only telling djvlad on what he wants him to know. Like about the Racial tensions that's going on right now, Michael, He's 'ol school. He's looking out for the Italians not Black people. Those guys in the Mob were brutal killers. Understand?? The Valuentainment gives much better interviews that this guy vlad does. And he's needs to be careful what he asks those guys About THAT LIFE!

@James Robert That's what I'm saying Vlad needs to lay off with these interviews with those mobsters. I know those mobsters know that they're still under their radar of THAT LIFE they were a part of. Because Vlad might put himself in danger.

Vladimir is actually one of the original Russian Vor(look Vor up if you don't know) thats been in hiding for 26 years, he had facial surgery and a voice change to make him seem soft and unassuming but Vlad used to have the streets of Kiev on fire in the 90's. Thats why he gets so frustrated and tries to brag to his guests and make it about him cause he can't tell any of us the type of things he really did back in Ukraine.

I met him and Leonetti as a 17 year old parking attendant in New Jersey at the old Hyatt Hotel in Cherry Hill. They pulled up in a Lincoln Town Car and said they wanted to park upfront. They took the keys. Leonetti tipped me $10 on a $3 parking fee. That was a big tip in 1984. Scarfo smiled and looked like a madman. I knew who they were and it was kinda exhilarating.

When a father gos to prison, the effects on his family is absolutely devastating. Because the lives of his entire family is completely upended in every way. Their lives become completely unstable and out of whack, the family suffers economically, children are left confused and scared, and the children often due to housing instability look to the streets for security and direction and for everything else that the home isn't giving them which often leads to gangs, drugs, crime, violence, incarceration , and ultimately a violent death. I have a friend who's dad was sent to prison when he was about 12-13 years old, and man his suffered greatly like you wouldn't believe. They went through it real bad, like no joke.

Those cops jacking up the mob are worse than the junkies. When I was a kid, my best friend's mom was the biggest heroin dealer in our neighborhood. I can't tell you how many times all of us kids would be over there playing and her own friends would come in and rob her at gunpoint, sicker than a dog crying and apologizing to her at the same time. Crazy! Not only do her own kids have those memories, but so do the rest of us neighborhood kids. As much as all of us kids hated junkies, we'd never thought we see anybody else using that nasty drug after our generation, but here we are. How? Why?

I live in Atlantic City. I grew up there. My little cousin fell off a second story balcony and was in bad shape. He was hospitalized. The first time my family went to the hospital to visit him we quickly realized the patient in the next room was scarfo's son. He tried to hang himself and but he ended up with some brain damage or something. It was sad. I was 13. I don't know the whole story but from what I understand he did it because kids were making fun of him in school because of his dad. I walk past Nicky Scarfos old house once in a while. It's on Texas ave in Atlantic City. It was hard to shake that. Very difficult for a 13 year old process. I don't know what happened to scarfo's son

I took care of Nicky Scarfos wife in a nursing home in NJ she thought Nicky had her hidden from the feds . I remember a picture of her doing Jackie Kennedy's nails she said she came in her shop and she was the one who got to do her nails she was proud of that moment moment. She was funny when she would get mad at the nurses station she would call them cows 1 day I walking in, and her stuff was all gone they said she passed

I'm sure it's interesting but you can't say it's more interesting than New York. New York had five families fighting for well over 100 years. You had constant assassinations,assassination attempts countless wars between families. I would like to see Philly mob get more shine and love though but to say it was more interesting than New York that's crazy

Baldheadslck Philly was quite until Scarfo. After that they were waaaaayy wilder than anything ny did. Hell even the ny mob took them off the commission cause they were too crazy. Called them cowboys cause they shot up blocks all the time
@WalkingthroughNYC

@@mrblaque215 Oh no doubt they were wild after Nicky got in power. I'm not doubting that at all. I'm just saying in totality if you go through the histories of both it's not even close. basically there was one period in the Philly mob where they were just so outrageous. But if you just had to like tally up just stories and personalities New York would win. some of our guys went out of town and ran other cities and became famous like Al Capone.
@mrblaque215
@mrblaque215 4 жыл бұрын
Baldheadslck in that case, I agree. You right about that. NYC did have more pull just cause they had five different gangs runnin the city.
