I had the pleasure of meeting Michale after an acoustic show in some little meaningless shit town in PA. It was towards the end of his tour, you could tell he was tired and spent, but he stayed to speak with every fan who wanted to talk to him or take a photo (no charge). When it was my turn to speak with him, it was just one of those heartfelt moments that I will keep with me forever. After I told him how much his work meant to me, he locked eyes with me and just let me know how grateful he was that he could be a part of my life in some positive way. No bullshit, no rushing...he went out of his way to go above and beyond. I know some people say to never meet your heroes, cuz they will let you down, but this guy was as far from that as you could get. Amazing. I walked away shaking. It was a real moment. So especially now, when people are talking shit about him because of his views, I want you to know that this dude is a legitimately good and caring person. And he had nothing but positive things to say about Jerry and Doyle, which says alot.

He's such a cool guy! I as well got to meet him in a bar in a small town. So humble and so kind. He even asked if he could sit with a group of the patrons. He gave out these VIP passes and he signed it for me and signed my shirt I bought, and I got a picture with him. And that's not even the coolest part, he gave me some really good life advice. He said never lie to yourself, you're strong and you can always succeed if you're honest with yourself. And he gave me a hug when I told him I've been a fan since I was in high school. I've got to agree with the masses here. When he said a Graves era reunion would be more successful is a bit of a reach. I LOVE Graves era just as much as Danzig era so the hype from me would be about the same. But my point here is that I am grateful to hear how the experience effected Michael and how righteous he is regardless of my musical opinions or whatever. @devilsguitaristmusic3 жыл бұрын
@@davestuddaman8127 Jerry is not who you think he is. Try wearing a Glenn Danzig t-shirt and see how Jerry treats you if there's no one else around. Jerry is an ego maniac. Jerry turned, what was one of the greatest bands of all time, into a joke. He needed to be the focus of the band. He didnt like Michale getting attention and writing better songs than he ever could. It's no coincidence that back in 2009 Gorgeous Frankenstein opened up for Danzig. Gorgeous Frankenstein had Doyle and Chud in the band. Michale joined them on stage and they did a mini Graves era Misfits set. Then Doyle joined Glenn on stage for a mini classic Misfits set. Jerry wasn't involved. His own brother didn't want anything to do with him because of, what basically came down to, his ego. Also the same reason Marky Ramone left. Jerry tries really hard to portray himself about being all for the fans, but he's only all for the fans if they're gushing over him. He didn't make the Misfits in any way, he ruined the Misfits and he can't sing or write a decent song to save his life.

I'm sure a Graves era Misfits reunion on a large scale would be pretty massive, due to the OG Misfits reunion bringing more attention back to that era and the recent wave of pop punk nostalgia. I'm sure Glenn and Jerry's legal contract has some sort of non-compete clause that would keep it from happening any time soon, but if there's ever been a right time for this (obviously for monetary reasons on Jerry's part) it would be as soon as it could legally happen. I'm just honestly severely disappointed that Jerry couldn't suck it up and try to make things work with Michale for the fans years ago. Danzig reunion needed to happen, but damn it, we missed out on so much potentially awesome music/tours from the Graves era for stupid reasons.

I've always enjoyed the Danzig Misfits more so than the Graves, but I still dig the Graves era too. Now, that said, he is kidding himself if he truly believes there to be more hype for a 90s Misfits reunion lol.

I do appreciate the Graves era but it wasn’t the misfits. To say the demand would be greater than it is for the originals is insane. I’ve seen the originals at MSG and in Tampa and there’s no way the graves lineup would fill those places.

This is a joke. Mall Misfits era. This was Doyle's attempt to cash in on Danzigs success.

Best line up, too bad they were shitty with him because even cuts from the crypt was amazing and even 1 or 2 albums more would be better than jerry burying the band into the ground.

1) Why did you censor when he said JOHN CAFIERO? 2)Man, he's bald AF, even tho he's barely 40... he's gotta keep the sides shaves closer so it's not obvious, it's a non-rock n' roll look man. But a talented, cool guy. 3) There IS a demand for the reunion, but no, its not comparable to the Glenn demand. It would be similar to Ozzy with Sabbath (ie- the real Sabbath), and then Tony and Geezer would play with Dio as Heaven and Hell. There was demand for that, but it didn't rival the demand for the original outfit. If Graves reunited with the Caiafa bros, they could call themselves "American Psycho" (or "famous monsters"). They could play 3k-5k capacity places, while Danzig does his Danzig stuff, and then they all get together to play the 15k to 25k places. Better than Doyle playing to like 200 on his own and Jerry twiddling his thumbs. If Glenn would "allow" it.... would be awesome. 4) Good questions about the Ramones!

It's not unusual for dudes in their late 30s/early 40s to be bald. It's not fair, but it happens. He could just grow a devilock combover like Jerry.
@LetsGoMetsGo335 жыл бұрын
@@MegaKoeyKue Yeah the D-lock combover is the worst haircut in the world, lol. Danzig's lost a lot on top too (might be part of why he hates the camera). Of course its not Mikey's fault, I'm just saying he should he should shave the sides with a straight razor frequently to avoid the shadow. The shaved head thing works, see Halford for example, but the bald on top, hair on sides (ie- the Costanza), not so much. That is, as long as he's professionally active. Just my thoughts.

I love the Misfits Graves and Danzig eras but the whole band has always been built around huge egos. Danzig, Jerry and Doyle are all major douchebags fighting over who is the biggest star its pathetic. I get not everyone likes the Graves era of the band but like it or not Graves is super talented and with him as frontman they gained a whole new legion of fans and this line up along with Metallica is responsible for most people myself included being aware of them at all. BUT they fucked it up and threw it away because Jerry and Doyle cared more about being more famous than Michale. Its sad.
