Жыл бұрынWithout a doubt, Michael Hubner imposed an intimidating and menacing figure on the cycling track. He was as close as you could get to having a T-800 Terminator on the bike.
His huge stature towered over all rivals striking fear into them and he used his powerful thighs to full advantage to win World Titles and records. At the 1986 World Track Championships in Colorado Springs he would take both the Rainbow Jersey and a World Record back to East Germany for the Sprint discipline of Track Cycling.

Hi Brett, my name is James Doyle, Tony Doyle’s son ( who won the individual pursuit at the colarado worlds in 86) Dad sadly passed away a few weeks ago and I was just wondering if you had any more footage from these championships and of the individual pursuit final if you did that would be amazing & much appreciated as we have limited footage. Hi James. I'm so sorry for your loss. He was an absolute legend of the sport! Unfortunately I don't have much more on 86 Worlds from track and there wasn't anything from the IP. I think I've already put everything on here in regards to Track Worlds that year as it was snippets from an American coverage that I had on one tape. I only have 86 Road Worlds from Colorado which I haven't added as yet. I'm pretty sure he was in the 94 Comm Games Points. I can get the whole footage that I have to you if you like?

Hübner would be putting down 1500-1800 watts during those final sprints easily
