I think most people would agree it actually would have been quite a wonderful thing to have Michael Imperioli play Chris's father . They could have done something to change his face a little bit so that he looked slightly different than Chris .

True but I just saw him in a shity movie here on KZfaq called Foreclosure... it could have been a good movie I don't know what to say ; but I don't know if he would have played in that film if he had known how shity it was going to turn out . Of course his acting was fine . Some of the story gets a little bit confusing especially the way they present the supernatural stuff.... some of that just looks plain cheesy .

I remember he had a bit part in a movie called Stand by Me about a principal who carried a bat and straightened up a very bad school. He had a walk-on as a thug.

Back in the '90's, I examined his grandparents at my office, and they were telling me about their grandson about to star in a series coming out on HBO... I remember that they were gleaming with pride, and I of course had no idea what show they were talking about. I guess the rest is history!! I miss that show a ton...and Michael Imperioli is an underrated actor.

Raul Quiroz. If you haven't seen it yet, Check him out in the basketball diaries. He was very young at the time, and it was a small role, but nonetheless very impressive acting as usual.

Just finished The Sopranos for the second time...Michael is still my favorite actor in it with how well he mixes in the humor and him and Pauline together are fantastic. Dudes a class act and seems like an all around great dude.

Chris was my favorite character on the show besides Tony. I'm a big fan of both James Gandolfini and Michael Imperioli as well as most of the cast really. I would still love to see another Sopranos television show based around the same families.

I think Chris was also my favorite along with James Gandolfini and I'm sure a lot of other people felt that way . Too bad they can't do what some of the other shows had done : make it look like the episode of his death and funeral and Tony thinking about when Chris was alive , was all a bad dream that Chris had . It would be great if the show picked up where now Chris is the head guy and every now and then you see him talking with some of the older ones of the original crew who would show up in the show from time to time . The actor that played AJ could be one of the people in the crew ... it would be cool ...a lot of people would watch it just for the Nostalgia factor . You could have Carmella and it every now and then.... and Meadow . And great actors like Bobby Carnevale in it . Anyway if they did that... then the scenes of the orange cat looking at Christopher's picture on the wall would make a lot more sense .

I remember when I was 18 I worked in a liquor store down in Tribeca NYC. Chris would come in the store every now and then. The Sopranos was still Filming at the time. So when Chris came in the store, it looked like he walked right off the set. I felt like a extra or something lol. Was really cool to see him around at the time, I loved the show. I also got to deliver wine to his a apartment. Good times.

Always interesting to see actors as they really are. You get so used to him in his role you believe that's who they are - which is, of course, what they want to happen. Seems like a nice guy.

Great interview. I've watched the Sopranos from day 1 when it premiered in the late 90's. Michael is a multi-talented writer, actor and director. I knew he had to have some special talents when Martin Scorcese put him in Goodfellas. This was just an indicator that he was an actor who would do some great work, and he did. The Sopranos had a superb cast all around and Michael was definitely a major contributor as the most prominent member of Tony's crew. He was Tony's right hand man other than Silvio Dante (Steve Van Zandt). I would like to see Michael work with David Chase and Spike Lee again. He brings a real New York vibe to his work and takes on parts that he's best suited for rather than fluff that might pay big bucks but would be a backstroke for his career. A prequel to the Sopranos would be great to see it's just sad there is no chance James Gandolofini would be part of it unless they use previously shot footage, like they did with Nancy Marchand in the season 3. Oh yeah, Pine Barrens was one of my fav episodes as well.

I don't understand why he doesn't get more or bigger roles. He was great at playing Chris, but I know that doesn't mean somebody is a good actor if he can only play that one role. Or is it some Luke Skywalker thing? I get that a some of The Sopranos' cast weren't big actors, that they were basically the same guy in real life, but I think Imperioli can do way more than just playing Chris.

Ostkreutz Rox His face is too... ethnic, too "dago-looking". Just like the guy that played Phil Leotardo. Gandolfini was italian too, but looked like a wasp. Imperioli doesn't. I don't question his talent. It'just that he seems to me credible only in mafia roles. Just my two cents.

It's funny how surprising it always is to me to see more recent images of Imperioli and how much older he looks, I always forget Christopher was played by a middle aged man. Tony's actor was only 5 years older than Chrissy's haha.

Christopher was hands down the best character in that series. When I first watched the Sopranos. I thought he was just a young hothead junkie, irresponsible piece of s***. But after multiple viewings, he was by far the most exciting, complex and flawed character on that show. In my opinion that's the best show ever made for Imperioli to bring that character to life, it must have took tremendous acting chops.
