Geraldo is the only interviewer since 93 that was kind with Michael and didn’t come at him with questions like “don’t you think? Isn’t that strange?” Mainly, antagonizing him. Later interviews with Geraldo where MJ was present, Geraldo showed a genuine FAIR assessment of Michael. Bless.

He was a pawn to Michael. He was once against Michael when taking, Latoya, interviews, in early 90s. It's like eating your competition, knowing deep down theyre fans, and only hated and used your name for their own personal interest. Look at the interview with Lotoya and the questions he asked, and how he went for the jugular. Michael was a master chess master - the decisions in the 2005 trial had alot to do with who was collateral damage from the 90s trial. Geraldo represents fox 5 white conservative middle America, Michael needed that demo and platform on his side - he knew he could leverage his celebrity to sway people professionally even if they disagreed, or showed to do so, at one point, personally. You'd have to actually see the Latoya and Geraldo interview first hand - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fcWleL1zuJnPqXU.html Gerardo was once a corraborator of those trying to bring MJ down in the 90s, so Michael turned he and Latoya back on their side- however he did it. It's as egregious as the private investigator for the 2005 trials who defended, Michael, and discredited his accusers, in, 2005, and, in, 2010, defended Dr Murray, and discredited Michael when on trials for his murder. People will take any side that pays them.

Still one of the best interviews with Michael ever. Geraldo always treated him like a human being, versus being picked apart and ridiculed by Oprah, Martin Bashir, Diane Sawyer, etc. The world didn’t deserve you, Michael.
@angelballerina40565 жыл бұрын
He was so intelligent, so good to hear him speak, also a good listener, doesn’t jump into answering a question until he knows fully what they are truly asking. Just a few people might have really known what a great person he was, fascinating to be around him probably. Also a real musician, must have been really smart,

I think Geraldo Rivera liked him, and was a fan too because I can tell how he interacts with MJ here in this video. I think Geraldo would have done anything for Michael. Anything! I'm sure it made him cry too and very sad after he heard MJ passed away.
@abby4025 жыл бұрын
Learley Wells yeah, you can totally tell he likes him & the whole Jackson family. He is constantly defending a well known Hollywood child molester. Michael was VERY charming and to everyone, so it’s easy to be swept up if you are low IQ.
@missesrobot81825 жыл бұрын
Oh shut up @@abby402, you watched a documentary and now you know everything. Geraldo followed this case inside out, you watched a tv show.
@PatriciaMoreno-ff8pr5 жыл бұрын
Abby Kinyonies ..Yes, no need to get nasty to people. I grew up with his music & can't deny how talented he was. Only someone with "a low IQ" would deny that ! Ha Ha ! That being said, I am not necessarily a fanatical fan who thinks he could do no wrong either, just to be clear.
@PatriciaMoreno-ff8pr5 жыл бұрын
I watched the documentary like so many did, and I honestly have to say I don't know what to believe about the awful accusations. MJ was a tortured person from his dark childhood with his abusive father. So I can see how a person might repeat abuse he suffered with other kids as an adult. It is true so often that abuse becomes a terrible cycle. This is NOT to excuse MJ or anyone else for molesting, IF he actually did it. I also tend to believe the men in the documentary based on their body language, they seemed credible. So I'm having trouble agreeing with all the devoted MJ fans accusing them of just being liars who are seeking money. MJ does come off very sweet, gentle & likeable in this clip, and the I interviewer also did a nice respectful interview. So it makes me even sadder to think that these ugly accusations COULD be true. Also because, like I said before, his music & talent were so awesome ! But the bottom line is he is no longer here, so I believe we will NEVER REALLY KNOW what the truth is. Only the people who were in MJ's room with him, those former kids now adults, and MJ will ever know what the truth is. So keep that in mind before you say that people who believe MJ have "a low IQ" First, it's.not nice and unnecessary to insult others. Second, the only truth we have is that YOU DON'T KNOW for sure that MJ sexually abused kids, anymore than his devoted fans know for sure that he did not ! NO ONE will ever really know. Only MJ and the kids who shared his room/bed know the truth if what happened or didn't happen. By the way, sharing his bed with ANY child that was not AT LEAST related to him, was a REALLY BAD IDEA ! Totally inappropriate no matter how much he liked children, and no matter how innocent it might have been. He was a grown man, and assuming it was harmless, he should have known better than to put himself in that situation! There are other ways he could have shown his affection for children that would not involve such close physical contact as inviting them into his bed with him ! I have worked with children in educational settings and number one rule is to always maintain appropriate physical boundaries b/w yourself & your students. Why would you violate that basic protocol and set yourself up for problems, especially if you had no bad intentions ? I guess with his celebrity, it's another world, and you are used to doing whatever occurs to you with no checks & balances. Too bad ! I kind of think that if it was all innocent, MJ set himself up for trouble by sharing his bed with ANY child. And if it wasn't simply innocent, then it's obvious why he did it. So he either used really bad judgement, or he knew exactly what & why he was doing ! All I know is that I don't know, and that none of us know, even though many of us like to think that we do
@valeriemalone27295 жыл бұрын
@@PatriciaMoreno-ff8pr they aren't creditable, the body language is all we really have they were both stiff, no emotion, spoke in the same monotone, and not to mention smirking during their live interview. They have no evidence, change of story every week and straight away their statements were debunked, court threw out wades lawsuit because it wasn't accurate. They made too many slip ups, dates wrong...etc... also Wade dating Michael's niece during that time doesn't help his narrative. He backstabbed his girlfriend and friend Justin Timberlake by sleeping with Britney Spears. He used people. They both are in financial problems. There are real paedophiles in the industry, he wasn't one of them, if he were we wouldn't hear about it and the fbi defintley wouldn't have investigated him for that long, police wouldnt have raided his home illegally, or child services looking in to him to find nothing. Those two sued his estate for billions, if you wanted justice he's dead you got it, you don't ask for money especially now he's been dead for 10 years just to destroy his legacy is damaging to his children. It didn't work cause they had low ratings and his music is in the charts. MJ had snakes around him, his ex wife pointed it out after he died, they surrounded him. They HATED that he owned the Beatles catalogue. Oprah was a big snake who has supported predators in the past and still works with them, not just Weinstein, there's an agenda why she put her name on this mockmentary. The industry has never cared about children. Michael only felt safe around children and animals, he never said he slept with them, he would be in the room but wasn't alone with a kid, they had adults there too, He never saw it as sexual, the media spun it that way, he wasn't like anybody else... boys and girls, his niece, nephews, his own children, in the later years...30+ staff members including doctors and chefs...100s of kids stayed there the only ones to accuse him wanted money. They were criminals. he did everything for people around him and many took advantage...

This is the real Michael... Comfortable. Strong. Confident.. Thorough. He's comfortable with Geraldo.. I always wondered if Michael knew he was an empath.. Most introverts are empaths.. Too much different energy overwhelms.. We can pick up on negative energy. Positive energy. Oddly enough, most drug users are empaths.. They never learned to control their receptors. So they try to numb them.

Interesting comment. I tried to look up his MBTI and not sure if it is accurate but he is often listed as ISFP which seems pretty accurate given his strong sensing style as it pertained to creativity and his projected values. I am an empath (INFJ) and thought his personality is very similar to mine but he is really unique in the fact that he was far beyond his years in talent but a bit stunted in his personal care/well-being. Perhaps you meant codependent empath which makes sense for addiction/drug use and not just an empath? careerassessmentsite.com/celebrity-personality-types/mbti-isfp/

I don't know much , but I've been watching some other interviews and I can't not notice that here Michael felt comfortable , like it felt like he was talking to a friend . And I'm so glad to see him like this , feeling comfortable and relaxed . Also I remember that one interview with Oprah where she kept interrupting Michael when he was trying to explain and defend himself against all the lies of tabloids ... Also the tons of uncomfortable questions she kept asking . I mean ... Michael was too kind and sweet for this cruel world , really . I'm 100% sure of my words and I know he was innocent as a kid . Just a man trying to put his heart and soul into music to give people hope and smiles. What did we do to protect him? Nothing at all.. Unfortunately he's not around anymore , the world lost someone really precious and I'm not saying that any other human is less precious , but we should learn to be kind and humble , just like him . I'm young , but I believe he's a role model to us. I've rarely heard a voice like that , a person that I could listen to over and over again , just him talking , laughing or simply be shy . I hope he's in a better place now !

chckpea_girl It is very sad to watch because what we see is an interview with an emaciated, middle-aged, probably ravaged by drugs, effeminate man with heavy make-up, a wig and a surgically distorted face who is modulating his voice so that it sounds very young and infantile. There is no doubt that he was truly talented and creative but, while worshipping at his feet, we tend to forget that countless people contributed to his success (choreographers, musicians, singers, dancers, producers, technicians etc.etc.). Unfortunately, in a sense his success was his downfall too.

Thank you for sharing this video. I love hearing Michael in his own words. I'm not a Geraldo fan but he was very respectful and I appreciate that. I've seen some interviews where he has been asked the rudest questions and also been interrupted. I love & miss Michael Jackson. The world needs him.

It is amazing how MJ acknowledged God and taught children about Jesus. It is insane for somebody to think he knows the fate of MJ’s loyalty to God

What an amazing and wholesome interview, I could watch it a thousand times. 💖 I'm so glad to have known Michael's talent and music while he was still alive, ever since I was a young child. I've been a fan my entire life.

I'm glad there was atleast one interviewer (Geraldo) that treated and talked to him like a human being

One of the best interviews, other interviewers would rather ask silly questions and destroy his soul. RIP King Of Pop 1958-forever
