@@julienj1038 yes everyone knows he was influenced by black artists and he also brought a lot more attention to these same artists and their music which I'm sure translated into more money for them. I was referring to Elvis's moves and the fact that he didn't constantly have a need to grab his crotch. As far as charisma is concerned, Mike doesn't even come close.

MJ was a phenomenal singer and dancer. He was also terribly exploited by the music industry, as many of our cherished celebs have been or still are. It's tragic what happened to him. So much talent....too little time with us.🖤💔

Absolutely this. You can see how poorly everything is fitting him, and (as much as I loved him) he is very clearly lip synching this and trying to hide it because he is embarrassed. It's sad. Unfortunately, this was his life from a very early age.

I remember there was performance when everyone was so loud even he didn't start singing and dancing just standing u can't hear it nothing even in first line from everyone crying I mean everyone cry for ten minutes no one do or did like Michael Jackson,the greatest of all times.

I love this performance, and what blows me away is that he was 43 years old when he did this show. If you look REAL close, you can spot Macaulay Culkin (Kevin from Home Alone), Elizabeth Taylor (best known for playing Cleopatra) and Liza Minelli (daughter of the iconic Judy Garland). Excellent Reaction. I can remember the first time he did the Moonwalk on Mowtown's 25th Anniversary show. People went NUTS. The next day all the kids in school were trying to Moonwalk. For years you had everyone trying to do that. Tragic loss. He was Extraordinary in all aspects of the word. Keep up the great work and continue to keep great music alive. ✌

The only vocals he wasn't singing, and I wouldn't call it lip-synching because he wasn't even pretending to sing them, were his own harmonies he created in the studio. Of course it would be impossible for him to recreate that same sound in its entirety live, him or any other signer who records their own backup vocals in the studio. You can duplicate that live. It's IMPOSSIBLE to sing lead and backup at the same time. So what MJ and other solo artists from that era would do is sing their lead vocals LIVE and have their back-up vocals pre-recorded (Clicks) so you get the entire studio sound at a live show.

I think in order to make some of it work,he had to use backing track with the vocals probably. But some of it you could hear its not lipsyncd , ... Theres vid on here of him on a lift 30 feet above the audience, & the lift gaveway & you hear it hit the ground, he injured his back, but finished the song & went to the hospititol after the show.

Michael Jackson did this show on two nights, one on September 7 that he was high, and on September 10 he looked like he had been drinking Red Bull. The TV version merged the two versions.
