NOT GUILTY. He's well composed, not stumbling on his testimony and making admissions where necessary and statements that show his innocence in other instances. If they convict this man it would be a huge travesty. And there will be no justice for the victim, who will be crying out from her grave. Shame on the prosecutor for bringing these charges against that innocent man.

When I was very young at my private Catholic Italian grade school my YT friends taught me a lot of racial jokes and not just anti-black. I did not even know there was a difference until I attended that grade school one of the best times of my life, minus the strict nuns. At any rate seeing this thumbnail reminded me of one of the jokes. What do you call a Black man in a courtroom wearing a 3 piece suit? A defendant. At the time I did not even get the joke but nonetheless I laughed along with it because that is what we all did even when there were Italian racist jokes, Polish, Hispanic etc.... Only until I got older I was like heeeeeyyyyy.... So seeing this guy on the stand brings back that childhood joke. Yes I am Black.

@@dudemorris7769 I mean that is why people usually dress in street clothes as opposed to prison garb as it has been known to prejudice the jury, if wearing prison garb. And we must admit he does clean up rather good. This may not come out right but the fact that he is handsome and well dressed may actually play in his favor. It may actually nullify the jury if you find a female on the jury who not only finds him attractive but may use that to argue a valid reasonable doubt or reasonable doubt. All the defense had to do is find one break in the link on the prosecution side and exploit the reasonable doubt. Just from me doing a cursory view of the case, just because one wants a person to be guilty does not mean they are.

This is unbelievable. They actually waited for the judge to suggest a theory during earlier proceedings then mounted a half assed defense based on that. And the defendant is heated that the judge referred to him as a thief when suggesting it was plausible that the defendant could have stumbled upon the victim after she was deceased and got her blood on his jacket and book bag when he ran through her pockets. In his defense the defendant said he wasn’t a weird ninja BUT admits he was downtown taking pictures of cars to steal and breaking into cars looking for valuables, like a bag of candy (wink, wink). The defendant is right about one thing, this shyt IS weird.

Claimed he was worried about 4x felony on car robbery charges & was so worried that he was still out breaking into cars to steal candy & a book bag. Sure, he was worried & didn’t want to be seen by anyone, lurking & ducking in the dark. Yet, walks up on someone he sees from afar & actually touches the person, all the while not wanting to be seen by anyone, according to him. Over & over on the stand talking about how he was making sure he wasn’t seen, walks past her home multiple times in the dark, says the body was cold, however, she hadn’t been deceased that long. Allegedly realized 10 minutes later he had something wet on his hand, lol. Blood would have been dry has it been that little of an amount. He’s a felon so he can’t have a gun, however, he’s been caught with guns 3x as a felon. State is going to have a field day when they get up to take on all his inconsistencies. Hiding from every one yet decided to walk up on someone he thought was just sitting outside, hanging out, not knowing who it was. As he didn’t ever know if it was a white or black woman, but yesterday caught himself at the police station claiming he didn’t ever see the “white woman”, but they had his DNA.

@@Ozymandias1291 well yes, that’s just common sense? but unfortunately the justice system is extremely flawed & this case is a perfect example of that. this man does have a criminal history & he did commit petty crimes the night of the murder BUT he’s on trial for first degree murder.. not for property theft, breaking & entering, robbery etc. im not sure if you’ve seen what’s happened today with the case but it’s a hung jury & the judge has dismissed them for the weekend.. they apparently asked for the entire trial transcripts to read over as they could not come to a unanimous decision. it could be just one person saying not guilty OR one person saying guilty against the rest & refusing to alter their decision. or it could be a mixed result. ive studied forensic psychology & criminology, i work in this field for a living & based on everything i have seen (or rather, lack there of) there’s absolutely no way i could convict this man if i was on that jury… theres far too much reasonable doubt & the state hasn’t met the burden of proof, not even close.

@@srlkiller he was facing 25 years if caught on the prowl again so it is not much of a stretch that he would not care to leave witnesses. This is motive. If it was not for the crazy boyfriend I would think this is enough to say guilty. His innocent persona evaporates in those jail house calls
@srlkiller
@srlkiller 21 күн бұрын
it definitely doesn’t, it’s called code switching.. he’s a lot more comfortable having a conversation with his lawyer because he himself is a young black man from the hood in Detroit.. talking to another black man who probably came from a similar background. he’s in a formal courtroom now.. he’s not going to talk with slang, he’s not going to use cuss words, say ‘nigga’ or ‘u feel me?’ etc etc. he went from his neighbourhood to the total opposite side - a predominantly white neighbourhood that’s all upper class citizens with big houses, nice cars etc etc.. & now he’s in a room full of those people all testifying against him & taking the stand talking about their personal lives which he knows absolutely nothing about.. he doesn’t even know these people. code switching is extremely common especially for people of colour & it happens on the daily.. usually when it’s around different people you don’t feel comfortable with, different situations, environments, the workplace etc etc. it has nothing to do with innocence or guilt but i do understand how it could come across as a ‘difference’ as the change in his speaking style, patterns & tone. unfortunately i think that his defense attorney didn’t even consider this fact.. he most likely overlooked it as he thinks everyone does the same thing being a POC himself. i understand what he was TRYING to do by playing the jail call.. but it wasn’t really effective.. the conversation should have been had in person.
