I often think about if, the way the world is, someone on MJ's level of fame could exist again. In America maybe -- but afaik MJ was exported *world wide*, next level, and starting so early it was well before the world was covered in competition. He expanded in a complete ether, not to mention being such a young prodigy he was likely afforded a level of genius you rarely get to see (other example I can think of is maybe Selena -- but he was more than just a prodigy, that's the thing).

Definitely the biggest superstar of my lifetime, and Mike was up there too, ain't it strange at a time the most popular entertainer and sports figures all had Micheal as their name? Jackson, Tyson and Jordan. There was another huge figure at the time but he wasn't named Mike, it was Bo.

I used to drive entertainer coaches. I can’t remember how many times I have had a conversation with a person only to find out later that they are celebrities. I remember having breakfast with three people one morning and then found out about half way through that one of them was one of the hottest artists in the world at that time.

Yeah, that's what I noticed too. He's mellowed out and I love that for him. I think you get the best out of Mike when he feels safe and not judged (like most of us.) When he can pick up a condescending vibe, homeboy gets volatile real quick.
