Michael Jackson's This Is It is a 2009 American documentary-concert film directed by Kenny Ortega that documents Michael Jackson's rehearsals and preparation for his concert series of the same name that was originally scheduled to start on July 13, 2009, but was cancelled due to his death eighteen days prior on June 25. The film consists of Jackson rehearsing musical numbers, directing his team, and additional behind-the-scenes footage including dancer auditions and costume design. Ortega confirmed that none of the footage was originally intended for release, but after Jackson's death it was agreed that the film be made. The footage was filmed in Los Angeles at the Staples Center and The Forum, and features a clip from East Rutherford's Arena where Jackson publicly announced the concert series.

He really wasn't ready. He was planning on reducing the shows, he came to rehearsals so out of it that they threatened to cancel the show, and most of the time he couldn't perform for more than 30 minutes. I don't even know much abt bro but I do know that he was not ready at all

The same thing with AC/DC I had tickets to go see them when Mal was alive and then we lost our house to a fire then we had to sell the tickets to get a place at a rv lot until we figured out plan B. Michael Jackson is a game changer for live stage performances. Say what you want about Elvis but Michael took the game to a whole new level that upto this day not too many artists can reach. It was not enough that he gave an awesome performance of his song. It needed to be a huge spectacle.

With his medical condition I don't know how the hell he could do rehearsal, dancing and all that. In this time he was almost 2 months without proper sleep, he's been on dangerous propofol - making him feeling rested but the body and mind aren't really, because a person doesn't go through REM stage which is crucial for brain and body cells to repair themselves for normal functioning. It's a miracle he could function anyhow, let alone dance as we see him. Plus he was in his 50s. This legend was made from something else.

My parents bought a dvd of this rehearsal. I remember watching it when MJ just died and i felt so sad. I am just thankful that they even have a record of his whole rehearsal. He may have never done the world tour, he got to at least show the fans and the people all the hardwork they have put into preparing the concert RIP Michael Jackson

Jason Lewis doing this tour on top of his already bad health is what did it. Plus he only did this tour to settle 100s of millions dollars of debt. He chose to ignore his finances and lived beyond his means. Stop forever blaming others for a series of bad decisions he made himself. Love MJ but not to the point of delusions.

Jason Lewis he is a 50 year old man who is physically tired and have a sickness, but the people around him still push him and loaded him with drugs to keep performing for the tour all for the sake of MONEY.. and this tragedy happen.if this concert din't push through maybe he is still with us..I'm so sad for him my heart is always breaking thinking he's not with us anymore.:( :(
