This is from the special features in the DVD of Universal Soldier - The Return (1999) starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bill Goldberg and Michael Jai White. It is a short video of how Michael Jai White trains.
Michael Jai White is an underrated actor and a very talented martial artist with blackbelts in Kyokushin Karate, Shotokan Karate, Goju-ryu Karate, Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do, Wushu and Kobudo with over 30 titles under his belt.
Check it out and hope you like it!

That's ridiculous as hell. VD invited MJW to train with him on the set of Universal Soldier 1. They sparred together. Then VD gets MJW to be his opponent in part 2. If he was "intimidated" and had an issue with MJW, he would not have had him in Universal Soldier 2. In this video, VD looks focused on what MJW is saying to him. Also, they have a very friendly pic together on the US2 set. They were very cool with one another. Also, VD is more experienced in kumite/competitions....if not, show me MJW's actual competition records outside of being a black belt in 8 martial arts (*cough* aka spread thin training*** cough*). Sounds like he did more training than actual fighting. The only "fights" he talks about is these supposed street fights he's been in over pu**y or someone staring at him or some petty sh*t lol. Where do you haters get this sh*t from??

@@alwkicksta theres a video of michael kicking the crap out of adults in tournaments. If you knew about the New York fighting tournament scene michael made new papers as a teen for whooping folks butt. Man stop it. Michael has over 50 years in martial arts. Hence why he has so many black belts. All true martial artist go to different styles to add to the arsenal.
@alwkicksta
@alwkicksta 4 жыл бұрын
@@MrSupersaiyangoku 1. Micheal is 50 so he doesn't have 50 yrs of experience. What? His father and mother must've enrolled him in Kyokushin the very same day she got knocked up according to you. And Mike made her placenta/womb into a dojo lol?? Man stop it. 2. I saw that "America's Funniest Home Videos" quality video. 3. Where's the other videos and list of opponents, wins-losses of all these fights he's supposedly done? 4. Cool...he pulls useful techniques from different styles. A good strategy. Yet and still...it can get watered down/spread thin if one's not careful. I'd say 4 styles is more than enough...2 stand up (Karate/Muay Thai...TKD/Boxing etc.) and 2 ground/grappling (Judo/Jui Jitsu...Hapkido/Jui Jitsu etc.) like Scott Adkins (TKD, Kung Fu, Judo, Jui Jitsu). After that, it really becomes too much to retain....but 8 styles/black belts is good for bragging rights and ego...like Mike seems to have.

This man is handsomer than most men, better built than most men, and looks like he knows his martial arts. He also has a strong screen presence. Why isn't he the star of this movie?

Yes, let's be honest here. Bruce Lee was good, but he was 5'7" and 130lbs. Michael Jai White is 6'1" and 220-230 lbs of solid muscle. How many times would Bruce Lee have to hit him for it to damage him? And then ask how many times would MJW have to hit Bruce Lee to damage him? The answer to the second question is once. We're talking bantamweight vs heavyweight here. Now in terms of Martial Arts skills neither one of them was a professional fighter. Both were actors. However, White actually competed in some Martial Arts tournaments. Bruce Lee did not. Bruce Lee developed his own Martial Art of Jeet Kune Do and was fanatical about training but so is White and White, in addition to having 9 black belts in different disciplines, has the benefit of having trained with professional fighters using modern equipment. If we brought Bruce Lee from the present and had him fight Michael Jai White then Bruce Lee would lose. I don’t think he would last 5 minutes. The rules would not matter whether we are talking Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, Kickboxing or just a no rules street fight even a fight to the death. Bruce Lee would lose because despite being a great Martial Artist in his own right he is the much smaller man and size matters when skills are equal. Michael Jai White has the clear advantage in size but I would also give him the advantage in technical skills because of the modern training he did which Bruce Lee in the 1970s was not exposed to. I’m talking Boxing and MMA training with professional fighters in addition to his MMA background. Bruce Lee would simply be undersized and unprepared for Michael Jai White. Even Bruce Lee himself admitted that if a fighter is big and knows how to use size to his advantage, they can defeat a smaller fighter who is actually superior in skill. Bruce Lee wouldn't stand a chance against Michael Jai White.

KingOfTheRing: You are ignorant on many things, a professional fighter does not mean much, since there are rules is the show, of course it will always be stronger than a person who does not know how to fight in the True life, it makes sense ... Bruce lee was against the rules, his fighting philosophy it was all blows are allowed to defend himself, he was a street fighter. Lee fought people heavier than him during his life, Jai white he never fought in a ring, it was semi-contact fights with very strict rules. Fighters like Jai white there are thousands in the world, bruce lee it is a particular case, his exploits confirmed by people close to him were so exceptional, that many do not believe. Jakson is a legend as it is one of the biggest album sellers of all time, arnold is a legend as it is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time, Jai white it is nothing of the All except for a martial artist so a failed actor who has not even managed a career in the cinema because everybody does not care about his person compared to the big bruce lee. In 40 years the name of Lee will always be as much known, bruce lee is a legend ask you the question, why? And do your research

Bulma 23 I'm ignorant? Bruce Lee was never a street fighter, he was an actor, just like White. Street fighting is real, and White has competed in plenty of tournaments. How about you do some research?

KingOfTheRing Still a comic, thank you for this laugh without you I would have never guessed it had been actor .... go to inquire about the Jeet kune do that he himself found, you see it has nothing To see with a traditional arts, it was made to defend itself in the street or other ...

MJW is correct: Nutrition absolutely plays a vital role in physical fitness. My instructor at American Top Team says that bodies are like cars. If you put the wrong kind of fuel in them, they won't function very well. Lots of protein (chicken, fish) and calories (fruit, vegetables, rice) lots of water and just a tiny bit of healthy fat - (avocados, nuts, Greek yogurt) and I guarantee you'll feel better and start looking better too. Lastly, never underestimate the power of weightlifting and cardio. Just don't overtrain and remember to stretch before and after to keep your flexibility.

Michael Jai White is my role model, cause not only does he do Kyokushin karate, but he's also black, you don't see a lot of tough, positive ,and strong roles played by black men and I'm glad that movies like "blood and bone" and" John Q"(which does'nt have MJW) have that. SO RESPECT POINTS:; Up!!!1
