And now they are both the past of NBA. Time flies and stops for nobody. I am grateful to have lived and bared witness to both of their carriers. Jordan was already at the top while I was growing up so I missed his college days and early NBA days as I was too young to remember but growing up it was all about the Bulls and Michael Jordan. Kobe I watched from his first to his last day in NBA and I am sad to see both players come to pass (in playing sense). Thank you both for the memories.

You know what is really amazing is that you can totally see that MJ had a huge amount of respect for KB. And MJ extremely rarely had high respect for anyone. In all actuality, i can say with a pretty high level of confidence that Kobe is the one player MJ respected the most on the basketball court.

He was close to being Michael, and the only reason he stopped that far was because he _Became Kobe Bryant._ I didnt follow him enough when he was alive, but he was our meme back in middle school bro... "Kobe!" And seeing how much he actually affected those around me, he really showed me how good a vibe he radiated. He wanted to do so much more. Not only him but his kids radiate that same energy, his daughter did.. All of them.. This is a rough beat.

Everyone hating like always, even when MJ said in an interview himself that Kobe is the only person in today's game you can compare to him, which is true as well. Kobe is the definition of working through anything to be the best just like his Idol (MJ) was. Phil Jackson even said he's a harder worker than MJ, and that's saying something. Also Kobe wasn't even a lottery pick either so let that sink in.

Michael Jordan only gave Kobe Bryant the comparison with himself because Jordan realizes Kobe is no longer a threat to his legacy. Kobe didn't accomplish enough to surpass him. LeBron James on the other hand is looked at as being better than Jordan by many and he's the biggest threat to Jordan's legacy ever.

You also forgot to mention that he led lakers to their 2nd worst record in franchise History, and didn't make the playoffs that year lol. How many times did Jordan average above 30 and didn't make the playoffs? 0 lol. Another Point for MJ

I love how everytime Kobe made a play, he looked at MJ to see his reaction... Then MJ talk to him about something... Real friendship... MJ wasn't jealous, or indifferent of this rookie, he was perfectly confortable with the situation.

MJ rookie season : 28.2 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 5.9 apg, 59%FG Kobe MVP season: 28.3 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 5.4 apg, 46%FG LBJ 07-08 season : 30.0 ppg, 7.9 rpg, 7.2 apg, 48%FG MJ > Lebron > Kobe. That's how it is, Lebron is a top 5 player, you may all hate him, but he's the king, deal with it.

Yes, exactly ppl don't use facts to disprove that Lebron is top 5 they'll just attack things that can't be measured like "will yo win" or "he left his team so he sucks". They just need to admit they don't like him but except the FACT he is top 5 all time.

I heard a commentator once say that Kobe Bryant entered the league, looking to take the crown away from the king. And what he didn’t realize is that Michael Jordan was looking for air to hand his crown too. This video proves that.

Just points don't make u better...Its overall stats as a team player, also what you do on and off the Court. Championship Rings is a team effort, not individual. Jordan has bettered Magic, bird, Doc J. record Kobe has better MJ, LeBron broke all,and someone will break his.. records are made to be broken.. everyone has their opinion weather it's factual or personal opinion. based on overall achievement's in their respective era's. I grew up in all era's mentioned....plus this comment title states MJ Vs Kobe..not LeBron....
