Kobe was extremely cerebral as a player, and definitely was an elite athlete. Anthony Edwards is out there flying like Mike. To be fair, Kobe almost nearly got to the level of MJ. He had enough chances to win more than 6 championships. Had the Lakers beat the Pistons, and he had 6 rings...there still would be heavy debate that MJ is better. But I feel it would be closer and more of a split. I obviously dont rank him over MJ despite being my favorite player of all time, but he did come extremely close and he helped take the NBA into a new era after MJ. Now is the burden on Ant to get 5 or 6 rings? Probably. However, just making the T-Wolves a spectacle and bringing them a title will put him on a historic path. He can be like what Kawhi was to Toronto or what Giannis is to Milwaukee.

I feel he plays more like Kobe but looks more like Rookie MJ. Either way, playing similar to both is nothing but respect! The NBA needed this! As much as Luka and Joker are huge stars, they arent American that can be your American poster boy. Edwards checks all the boxes. And honestly, having a small market like Minnesota potentially thriving here similar to Milwaukee a few years ago is great to see. Happy for those fan bases that spent years of irrelevancy since the Ray Allen (Bucks), Melo (Nuggets) and KG (T-Wolves) eras finally turn it around.

It's not fair to compare anybody from the last few generations to MJ because nowadays NBA teams rarely play defense in the regular season. Jordan was making these incredible stats facing some of the best defensive players of all time and he was making fun of them again and again, The Antman is an exceptional player and that's it. If the NBA changes direction then we can resume this debate.

The only one that came extremely close to being like MJ is Kobe Bryant! And the next would be Steph Curry, Steph could’ve scored 70 every night if didn’t share the ball as much as he does, and he still scores 28-30, his handles are better than MJ, his shooting better, his defense just as good, and his killer instinct is like MJ, , now that I think about it, Curry is the only one like MJ! The young Lebron James definitely was like MJ but with poor defense against other teams top stars, whereas MJ stifled them, he even man handled Kobe when Kobe was really balling! This is why MJ is the Goat forreal! He shares that title with the greatest ever, MR. WILT CHAMBERLAIN! And believe this, MJ would adjust to Edwards and completely shut him down, especially in the playoffs, MJ was relentless in the playoffs, everyone that played says that about him, even his teams say it, MJ was a phenomenon and remains one- and I’ve never been a fan, but I respect his game.

Kobe is the mid range heavy version of Jordan (at least the 24) As much as I love Kobe, kobe is the closest thing to Jordan in terms of skillset But in terms of swag, killer instinct, tendencies, edwards is super close to Mike. And SGA is quite close to Kobe. Edwards = baby Jordan SGA = baby Kobe

He's almost a carbon copy. The issue is Edwards came into a league dominated by Lebron (only in terms of power...lol). Jordan came into the league ready to challenge the Celtics and Lakers. Jordan had no stars with him. Edwards does. So Edwards had some things to iron out. Remember, he was initially a Klutch Sports guy and left them. Wonder why? Since then? He's been skyrocketing. So he has nothing but skies in front of him if he keeps grinding.
