Electronics took over the kids. I got spanked for implying i may run away when i did not want to eat. He taught important lesson on tv of the way it was in early days and kids today could never live in those times. I had to chop wood and shovel coal growing up i had to work around the house no time for play much. I loved Bonanza and Little house my mom came from a family of 15 kids and poor.

We need more Michael Landon's in this world He was so genuine and honest about who he is and why.. I've always been a fan But the more I learn about Michael the more I admire him as one of the greatest men that ever lived who I'm sure had his flaws.. But you can tell that he believed in God Almighty and the bible above all else..and he never hid that fact from anyone.. He shared his knowledge with all of us with the kind of roles he played on the tv shows he was involved with.. when you look at Hollywood in 2021 it's almost impossible to see God in anyone's hearts.. Michael Landon was a great humanitarian who used his platform to remind all who watched him of God and basic common sense values to live by

@anthonyintravio8272 2 жыл бұрын
@@weshunter_musicman Michael Landon was human like anyone else. Back in the old days men were able to tell dirty jokes about women and talk about sex in the most dirtiest way. Back in the old days women didn’t make a big deal about it like it is today with sexual harassment going on with lawsuits and people getting fired or going to jail. Michael Landon was not a perfect human being. As we see Michael on the TV screen playing Little Joe Cartwright on Bonanza for 14 years and the Charles Ingles on Little House on the Prairie and then the show that he created by writing, acting, directing and producing the hit sit com by playing an angel named Jonathan Smith that helps families stay together and love one another all came out of his hidden feelings that came from within his heart was some what all make believe. He was married three times and had 9 kids, 6 biological kids and 3 adopted. That right there should show people that he wasn’t a perfect husband or a perfect father. The first time was when he was married he was 19 years old Eugene Orowitz. Then when he change his name and his image, he was this big TV star at 22 years old named Michael Landon who then adopted his first wife Dottie’s son and two other kids named Joshua and Jason. Then 7 years later he divorced her and gave Jason back to the adoption agency and then met and married his second wife Lynn. Then he and Lynn had 3 more kids and he adopted her 1 daughter that she had from a previous relationship. After 19 years of marriage to Lynn, he divorced her to marry a much younger woman named Cindy Clerico who was 21 years younger then him and had 2 more kids with her and bought 2 huge homes. Michael Landon talks about in his interviews how his sad childhood was that his own parents didn’t show any love and affection towards each other or to him, but he doesn’t look at how he hurt his 2 wives by divorcing them and his own children by keeping his own family that he created stay together. I’m not saying this to change anyone’s feelings about they should love or hate Michael Landon, all I’m saying is that Michael Landon was not a perfect and great human being. Remember this, Michael Landon was an actor, a man who can pretend to be anyone he wants to be, he was rich, he was famous, he took control over everything in his life and he had an ego problems that was about himself. One thing I will say that he was very financially generous to his family by giving all his 9 kids $5 million each and money to his grandchildren towards there education and $45 million in cash and 2 homes valued at $16 million to his wife. He was only human. He was Michael Landon.

This is she was a sad interview in so many ways. His childhood was so far from the idyllic families that he was a part of on TV. His parents were at odds and his mother had a severe mental illness . The story of him getting to go to college and being bullied and the teammates cutting his hair.The part when he tells of his great love of his wife Lynn and how she was the turning point of his life. It was sad that he left Lynn for a much younger wife . In the last sentence when she asks " when you get to be an old man what do you want to be remembered for"We now know he didn't get to live to be an old man.

Definite proof that discipline works. Discipline never hurts anyone, and kids these days could use some of it. Now kids walk all over their parents and use foul language. He's the perfect example of how to be a father, more should be like him. Why did Barbra act so surprised that he spanks his kids? He's human and believes in didcipline.

If Michael's mother was Irish, even if his father was Jewish, how could he really claim to be Jewish? 🤔🤔 The lineage has to be through the mother, or am I wrong?

He was Jewish because he identified as Jewish. He had a bar mitzvah. He was buried in a Jewish cemetery. And by the way, Irish isn't a religion. It's a nationality.

There's another Cosby connection- when Michael and Lynn broke up and Michael began a relationship with Cindy, the "scandal" was big enough that Kodak replaced Michael as their spokesman with Cosby. That's right, they felt Michael's image as a family man who women can trust was damaged and went with Bill Cosby, who Kodak along with the American public felt did embody those values. What a joke that turned out to be huh? Michael's legacy is intact, while Cosby's is ruined and Kodak is obsolete. Michael got the last laugh.

@@angelofmercies4602 and what Michael admitting that he hits his children and won’t let them watch television Monday to Friday except for his own show Little house on the prairie. Creepy. Barbara doesn’t even raise an eyebrow 🥵

@@knownpleasures he didn't hit them he spanked them, don't twist it to make it sound like child abuse. Don't make his kids out to be victims. As he said it was only when his kids knowingly lied to their father. A spanking to deter them from doing it again, followed by talking it out. That's how it was. No TV during the week was so that his kids would focus on what they needed to do to thrive - their homework and after school activities, reading and exercise. He gave them their weekends to do as they please, so if they wanted to just sit and watch TV then they could. It was a healthy balance and it's called discipline. Not creepy at all. To sum up, Michael wasn't a child abusing creep. You have a warped perspective if that's what you took from this interview.

That's correct used to be bills house. Huge huge house it is. I agree with a lot he says but never heard anyone not allowed tv all during the week. Do your homework then you should be able to watch if you want. The kids of today have i phones multiple tvs Netflix mobile phones and people going to university keeps rising each year. But that aside still a great man. He had an awful childhood too so he was very mentally strong to come through all that
