Ultimately, Denver never solved the problem of "non jokic minutes". Malone chose to play Joker 47 min because he had no confident with Joker on the bench. But Joker was simply just too tired at the end.

@@YungKiwi_They don’t even need a backup center. They just need some strong, consistent players off the bench. Last year in the non-Jokic minutes they just moved Aaron Gordon to center and had Bruce Brown as the primary ball handler. Bruce could give them 20 off the bench any given night.

Jokic was burned out the entire 4th, ran out of complete gas. Malone should have been more wise on that regard, not optimizing the Joker was ultimately their demise. But on the Flip side the team doesn’t have another big man to alternate , Dallas is better structure if you think about it to match up against Minnesota.

The game plan on offense was terrible, isolating Jokic on one side with AG in the dunker role left 2 bigs in the paint making it hard for them to drive the lane. It made no sense and forced them to have to make 3s, which they couldn't do.

Den thought they had it in the bag in the 3rd when Murray popped that 3pt to give them a 20pt lead. They took the foot off the gas and started settling for 3pt shots while Minnesota kept grinding till Den got gassed and by the 4th quarter at the 8 min mark. Den gave Minnesota the bonus and that was a wrap.

One thing I have enjoyed is the no-bull from Malone and Jokic. They call it like they see it. They are honest. And I think their analysis is pretty spot-on. They missed open shots and there was a lethargy or lack of stamina from the team. I think they needed another bench player -- and another big. They threw three -- THREE!! -- awesome big guys at Jokic.

You lose a 20 point lead or 18 point lead at home in a game 7, you are NOT good enough; games 1-2 were easy for Minnesota and then in game 6 you couldn't close and in game 7 you could not close -- YOU ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH! You need about 2 or 3 guys who can produce for you with more depth off the bench to sustain yourself. So the better team won and Denver was good enough to win but they didn't match up well with Minnesota all year long and it showed.
