That's my Yamaha 5-string that the woman is holding. Michael stayed with me while in town for the gig. Sick thing is I made him sign the bass after the show, put it in a gig bag, and didn't take it back out until last month, which is basically 19 years since the gig...and the bass was still in tune.

Saw him in Arlington, TX around this time on a tour with Trip. He played this with 3 basses on his neck apparently before his dr told him he couldn't do that anymore, only 2.

Three people, four basses, seems a bit over the top. This guy has always been considered a notable talent in the New Age music genre which I guess adequately explains to me why he is somewhat lulling

it's a bass convention. he's playing to his audience. if you don't want to be a part of it, i guess that's one of those great things about the internet. you don't have to be.
