Not really. I work on a oil rig. That entire drum is worth less than $100. It would cost more to ship that single barrel and refine it into anything useful at all. Idk why you think its super valuable because its not. It's only valuable in the sense that when we drill for it we produce almost half a million barrels of it at a time.

You know how dangerous Crude Oil is when not handled correctly, right? Ofc they aren't going to give someone an entire DRUM of crude oil because that's dangerous.

​@@DaesoTheOneyou're right, it'll make a mess that's kinda hard to clean up... What else? Could potentially irritate the skin a little? Could be lit on fire if you poured it out and had an open flame near it, but it'd be harder to light than a dozen other things in that room, including their clothes. I work with thousands of gallons of this stuff every day, there's nothing overtly hazardous about it in its crude form. When it's processed and turned into fuel, that's when it gets especially dangerous. Don't drink it, don't put it on your face, and don't pour it onto an open fire... Basically treat it like any household cleaner you've ever seen and you'll be fine.

@@DaesoTheOne oh, yeah that stuff sounds scary, and is heavily regulated afaik. Crude oil is, to my knowledge, only difficult to get by a private person because there just isn't a reason for anyone without a refinery to have it. There isn't a method in place to sell and get it to anyone in such small quantities. My guess is that he wasn't joking about having another 24 barrels, because that's probably the smallest quantity he could get a producer to sell him.
