This guy is a great musician and one of my heroes. A true musician with a love for classical and metal music. That's like the best possible combination. Their last album was a little different than I expected but it's not bad, maybe just a little too aggressive overall. I like thier previous albums better. Paradise Lost was amazing and older albums are really really good on many levels.

I detect strong NJ in Mike's accent. Always a delight to hear the East Coast shredders from the day are still kicking ass.

V is DEFINITELY the best SX record. In fact, From Dressed to Kill through V the releases just kept getting better and better and better. They pretty much peaked out at V, I like SOME of the newer stuff but 90s SX is the best. V is my intro to SX back in 2000 and remains my fave.

I don't know if he did that on purpose but when the interviewer asked Michael about the album title the answer lasted for like several minutes. Not an easy question to answer, though.

I love V, but I wouldn't say it's the best. I think Divine brought about some very inventive chord progressions, and the overall vibe of the album just resonates better with me. That's just my two cents though.

I like Romeo's too

Not their best album. I was the biggest fan, but when I saw them on the Paradise (also not their best) tour and they didn't even play one song off "V" -- What!? they only dedicated an entire album side to V on their live album. I think it's because it's so hard to play. I mean, just listening to Iconoclast you can guess whats going on. V will always be the most mind-blowing release. Playing different time signatures all at once, crazy stuff. Did she ask him if robots are going to take over?

I love how he says he's from New York, but later has to admit he's from Jersey. Every body thinks it's close enough, but just ask any New Yorker. Jersey was a laughing stock even before "Jersey Shore." Has everyone forgot the Joe Piscapo skits on SNL? Hey I love Michael Romeo, but now I understand why he curses so much like a macho tough guy, not that New Yorkers don't, but I still have to laugh at their insecurity to need to sound like a tough guy.
