Having got about 10 of the Atlantic 75 so far they have taken the mastering to a new level . The yes album and Genesis selling England by the pound are my favourite so far but there are no rubbish yet

As an Aussie, I have to say I’m beyond excited that an Aussie record gets done this way.. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is that all of our iconic music gets reissued digitally time after time.. I really hope more of our music is showcased this way, because our music industry was world class and under appreciated overseas, beyond the huge acts like AC/DC.. which has just had their catalog reissued for their 50th anniversary with digital mastering on gold vinyl.. who wants that?! Highly recommend INXS’s Shabooh Shoobah (1982) and The Swing (1984), as well as their Wembley Concert film ‘Live Baby Live’, as Michael Hutchence was an amazing showman. I have my copy of Straight Shooter from our Dave.. so this one is a bit hard for me to replace in a way, but if I pick up the 75th, I’ll be able to do my very own comparisons for the first time! (No doubles here…yet!) I hope he’s doing ok.. I may have missed an update.. miss Dave terribly as I’m sure many do.. Thanks for your review Michael ❤

I don’t have the INXS or this Bad Company yet but I have the Phil Collins, first Bad Company, Hootie and the Blowfish and STP Core. These Atlantic 45RPM records are bar none yet best records I own. They sound amazing! STP Core is ridiculous sounding. If you are a fan get it!

Your review drives home the truth these Acoustic Sounds - Atlantic 75 deliver. I am so happy with my records as well, and the INXS is just an amazing listen - the next level.

Just listened to my copy of both. The Atlantic 75s just makes my original copy of Kick sound sad. I don’t have an original of Straight Shooter but it’s also amazing . Once again Analog Productions knocks it out of the park.

Micheal, yes the YES Album is fantastic, I have this (Acoustic Sounds Atlantic 75) and was blown away with how good it was!! INXS - Kick, I did not order this one, but maybe I should, after hearing your thoughts, I have a flawless US first press. Bad Company, also did not order, the 1974 I did get and it’s really good, but I just do t think I would listen to it, I rarely pull out my 1st US pressing. I think radio here has just played them to death. Cheers Ed

I don't have Straight Shooter yet, but I did recently pick up the s/t and The Yes Album, besides the half a dozen others from the Altantic 75 series in my collection so far. Incredible sounding records! 😎🍻

I found an original 7” of “Devil Inside” at a local shop last week and it might be the most amazing sounding single that I own now. Has to be heard to be believed.

Very Cool INXs and Bad Company Records

Love INXS Kick album!! There is a not a bad track on it in my opinion. I have the first pressing from 87, but I would really like to get a modern pressing at some point. £75 though for the Atlantic pressing!?? I'm sorry, I just think this is completely ridiculous. I need to find a nice pressing for normal money. lol.

I have all the 12" singles with those extended version . They sound awesome the groove were bigger but the sound on those 12" singles you have to get

Interested that you would listen to Straight Shooter start to finish but not so Kick, when you get your LP's do you listen to all the tracks or just cherry pick some of the tracks maybe the hits? Nice video by the way.

Michael, what do you make of all of the claims over the years (including in the comments of The In Groove's video) that Kick was an early digital recording? I can't find anything definitive, and I trust Chad/AP to vet everything (plus Ryan Smith to not put his name on something as AAA if it wasn't AAA), but it would be nice if someone could provide a definitive answer about this. Internet chatter is often wrong, of course, but if it's truly AAA, I'd love to known how the digital talk started.

Have you figured out any jacket sleeves to use in these Atlantic 75 reissues? I’ve found that the vinyl storage solutions jacket sleeves are too big for them as the jackets are smaller than standard 12 inch records. Very frustrating.

I have the Abbey Road 45 Inxs Kick remaster and wonder how it stacks? I'm hard pressed for another 45rpm cut as the OG flow is one of its strong points. Hit into hit into hit. I may end up double dipping.

Michael, I miss the time you used to use the word "freshness" when you compared OGs vs. reissues.. since I resonate and often prefer "freshness" or "realness" over clarity, pinpoint imaging or even size of "soundstage", knowing whether that freshness is preserved or not it important. While I used to believe that freshness could not be achieved when tapes are old, I was pleasantly or rudely surprised when I listened to a 2012 Sundazed Bob Dylan KPG mastered record and it sounded almost as "fresh" as a 50 year old OG.

More hyperbole “Devil Inside becomes an unbelievable good song”. I have UHQRs (Aja) and Atlantic 75s (Blues & Roots) and they don’t by any measure alter a song from very good to unbelievable. They’re simply better pressings. It’s the same music. You’re not opening a magic box to something no one has heard. Still this reviewer is way more invested in the audiophile experience than anything to do with the music.

If this was the mofi against original, It wouldn’t win against the freshness of the original tape 😆

There's no accounting for taste... I get that, no problem. But strikes me this is just proxy marketing for Analogue Productions. I mean... does the audiophile community REALLY give a rat's ass about INXS? I realise the mastering etc. is probably great... but in all honesty who really gets all hopped up and excited about EVERY single release in this Atlantic 75 series? To me Mikey is just talking the talk to back up his business buddy in the good ol' USA. Apologies if I'm being overly cynical.
