@@rizqibayumantari6769 Wrong approach, don't shy out, every player no matter the level has a special skill that many might appreciate without you even knowing it.. in today's standards (if i would care) i¡m a mediocre guitar player, but when jamming with those technical machines (over talented players) they envy one talent i naturally had since a kid, its called improvising and that is hard to learn..... And remember the majority of the rock/pop hits are songs with very basic structures, few notes and simple melodies enhanced with vocals etc... Thats something youngsters and technical minded players tend to forget, the basic music listener cannot tolerate too technical stuff... so its up to you if you want to play& create music for musicians or for audiences.....

I am not a guitar player. I am a drummer of 40 years. My name is also Michael Angelo..I have to say that he is an amazing teacher. Pointing out what each player needs to be better but also pointing out what they are doing good. I have to give these players much respect for playing in front of a master and accepting the criticism. They must have been nervous too.....If I had to play drums in front of Neil Peart , or Portnoy, or Steve Smith or any of my heroes, I probably would drop the sticks....Great bunch of guys here and Michael is a great teacher and amazing player

Thank you, I do take note that the students are nervous and try to take that into account. I want everyone to walk away feeling like they learnt something from the lesson. That is my main goal.

Great lesson, Mike. The phrygian fella has a nice sense of melody. It's a great teacher that can take something and show some results to a student in an instant, especially a technique that takes years of practice and dedication. I'm sure this inspired them to go home and practice this. Kudos, Mike.

That was brilliant to watch. Been following you since my first days of playing guitar (2009) and I have to say that you're still my favorite shred/virtuoso guitar player. Took me years to at least nail the A minor sweep arpeggio at 12 fret so hopefully I'm still doing something right yet there's a lot of room to improve. Thanks for inspiration Michael, hope to finally see you someday in Russia (and I know you've visited my country multiple times).

i was always intimidated by players like MAB back in the 80s/90s but never saw him in a class format. He's so ingratiating with the students, helping and instructing without being negative in any way. MAN i could sit in front of him for hours and learn. I started w Paul Gilbert a few years back and he's the same way. if Michael was ever around here, i'd be there in a second! SUBSCRIBED

- Hand synch is life. - Fretboard knowledge: play exercises up and down the neck. (I'm assuming this is the equivalent to what Joe Pass once said, "Play the same lick in all positions.") - Play fast, no matter if it sounds sloppy. Feel the need for speed... \m/ Thank you so much, Michael Angelo.

Michael, you're a great person with extraordinary skill in playing guitar. You're always complimenting everyone and focus on the positive aspect of each person. I, an amateur guitarist, sometimes just try to find weakness in another guitarist. It's a bad habit and you just teach me how to stop it. Thank you.

Apart from your musical talent, one thing is to have the knowledge or be an expert in something and another different beast is to be good at transmitting or teaching what you know. You're very good at teaching and that's something not every pro can make.
