Our mystery OG for this, the penultimate day of quarantine, is none other than someone who is almost certainly the most-viewed female #IrishDance professional in the world: Bernadette Flynn.
There aren't enough superlatives in the English language to explain just how talented Bernadette is. Starring in four commercial video releases, Bernadette had two different microscopes on her when she made her debut as a professional dancer in 1996 with the original #LordOfTheDance: she had to embody the character archetype of "the good girl" in the world's first commercial #IrishDance drama, and she had to hold her own onstage with Michael Flatley. That's an unbelievable level of pressure to put on the shoulders of a small-town teenager from Tipperary.
Simply put: if there were a Queen of the Dance, it would be Bernadette Flynn.
Today, Bernadette runs the Flynn O'Kane Academy of Dance with OG Lord of the Dance Damien O'Kane. She took a few moments from her busy schedule to pass along a few words of encouragement to the current Team Lord #FeetOfFlames troupe, as we near the end of our fourteen-day quarantine.
Day 13 was all about power. Even a hotel structure built out of galvanized steel and reinforced concrete has its work cut out for it when ninety professional Irish dancers drill Michael Flatley's timeless rhythm patterns in perfect syncopation.
Team Lord is ready. These are the best Irish dancers in the world today -- the roster really does read like a dream team of people you'd automatically pick for a show -- and thus they earned a spot in this Feet of Flames stadium tour as the only Irish dance professionals in the world who are able to tour right now.
