Reuben the Bulldog: Meets the Wilmington PD K9 Unit

4 жыл бұрынIt's not often you get a behind-the-scenes look at a Police K9 unit, but thanks to some fantastic people at the Wilmington (North Carolina) PD, that's exactly what happened this week. Reuben got to meet a working K9 named Maxx and two members of the unit who are also part of the Special Operations Division. We visited them at their new training facility and got to see just a little bit of what goes into the making of a police dog. We are extraordinarily grateful for their hospitality, education, and most of all for their service to the community.

This is an amazing, informative, and fun video. I have a hugh admiration for the K-9 units. Those dogs can be put in very dangerous situations to serve and protect their human partners. I have to say Rueben is the cutest honorary K-9 dog I’ve ever seen.

Reuben is a bulldog extremely unhealthy dogs people are actually trying to stop them from being bred. They are lovely and very sweet not too smart but extremely loving just fat pigs who love sleeping and snoring

Reuben is fearless. He went up to everything & checked it out, & went on the walking machine. My dogter Skye wouldn't go near any of it. Also, he figure out the walking machine pretty quickly...go Reuben!! I loved watching Maxx do his training, that was awesome. Thank you for sharing it.

I retired from a non-profit and we gave a few grants that funded our local K-9 departments. I was always so amazed by these unique animals and their partners. But Reuben you are still the best of the best.

Reuben got to see first hand how much work and dedication goes into K9 training! Those police dogs are awesome and no criminal is a match for them! Reuben would be great as an Airport Detector Dog. He can sniff out anything!

That was really special watching the canine training facility and jumping obstacles searching and finding for Rescue just brtlliant👍🏻 Roo inspected everything to perfection making sure the k9’s have the proper training equipment they need to do the job properly. Well done inspector Roo👍🏻❤️

The malinois was beautiful! He brought back memories of my patrol dog when I was in the army. His name was "Ashwing", although Ashwing was not a mix breed. He loved climbing on everything but the scale. He used to get very vocal when he seen the old red and blues rotating. Of course Reuben stole the show!
